A most impressive airframe! Poland is a great country, and produces a lot of fine engineers in many departments.. Aerospace in general including aeromodeling in particular is no exception. My father recalled the ingenuity of Polish ground crew during the early part of WW2, how they would cobble together airworthy Spits and Hurricanes from improbably mashed up wrecks.. I remember a Polish kid called Oswald Janisch in 1974 or so appearing in Aeromodeler Magazine, with a 40"span rubber powered Sopwith Triplane (with working bungee cord suspension, which I thought was amazing), and he was just 14 yrs old.. So congrats to you, and your colleague from Poland.. This plane under advisement will CERTAINLY make a 1st class power trainer, just so long as folks don't expect everything they fly thereafter to be as good as this! 👍👏

If you're comfortable working with balsa, a P-30 would be a great place to start. I sell two, the Echo and the Saturno, both are good fliers. If you're less comfortable with balsa, try a Pinna Flyer. Very easy and they fly great.

hey josh i made hangar rat indoor .. it flies well balanced but it goes up and flips over .. despite the down thrust on fan ... what could be the reason?
@joshuawfinn2 жыл бұрын
Sounds like the CG is too far aft. See if adding some clay to the nose helps. Hangar Rats do need quite a bit of down and right thrust, by the way

I’ve just randomly landed here, so kindly excuse the lack of knowledge; but aren’t you worried that the plane might fly far beyond reach that you can’t retrieve it?

The electronic pack behind the battery is a “de-thermalizer” (DT for short). After a fixed amount of time it releases the catch on the horizontal tailplane causing the aircraft to stall and float to the ground. The last part of video shows the tailplane in the released position.
