You give, BY FAR, the best instruction as to how properly crochet! I've just spent some time and yarn trying to learn this stitch on another channel and it felt so wrong. I searched for the Star Stitch that you taught and I successfully completed so I could find your channel. I'll continue to stick with your teaching while I learn myself and teach my 9 year old. Thank you for being so thorough, gentle and easy to understand while we learn this fun craft!

First time I tried this stitch, following your instructions on a baby blanket, I mucked it up and somehow created a half waffle which turned out quite nice. I did one more project with the half waffle and now I’m actually listening to the instructions properly and doing an actual full waffle. Your channel is so easy to learn from. I’ve gone from total novice to blanket extraordinaire in about 6 months!!!

My current WIP is too big to carry on my daily commute and the yarn to start my new project hasn't arrived. So I've taken to watching your videos on the train to satisfy my crochet addiction. Your commentary and accent are so soothing and relaxing, thank you for helping me unwind! And I have to say your tutorials and patterns are the best. You don't labour over too many details, but you don't rush through either, you slow down in just the right parts to help us learn. Your patterns are so lovely and simple but such high impact! I think it's safe to say I'm a fan! 😊

I am in the middle of doing a scarf with this stitch and it looks lovely. The only thing I am finding is that this stitch seems to eat up a lot more yarn than normal. I think this is due to the fact that this stitch gives a 3D effect and it is quite thick so more yarn is needed for this. I am now waiting for more yarn to come and I hope that I have ordered enough to complete my scarf. I will let you know how things turn out.
