Super Easy Embossed Sugar Cookies - Em's Sweet Life

In this video I will be showing you how to make Embossed Sugar Cookies using an easy Embossed Sugar Cookie recipe.
In this video I am joined by my beautiful niece, Annalise! I swear she wanted to be in the video although most of the time she either looks terrified or unhappy. TEENAGERS right?!
We made this recipe together for Mother’s Day and we though the cookies were so great we had to share.
We made simple sugar cookies and topped them with some coloured fondant.

Ingredients:
Cookies
- 450g plain flour
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 230g butter, at room temperature
- 200g sugar
- egg
-1 tablespoon vanilla extract
-1 teaspoon baking powder
Topping
- Store bought fondant
- Pink food colouring

Thank you 😍 what great questions! I will need to make a video about tips and tricks. They are ready to eat straight away, although the fondant will be soft. They will last up to a week in a sealed container.

How long do you leave the cookies to dry once you've added the fondant, before you package them?

It shouldn't take too long before the fondant stops being sticky. If you need to package them quickly dust them with some icing sugar and a soft brush 😊 as long as you don't use too much, the icing sugar won't change the appearance of the fondant.

Where did you get the embosser?

Hi Zseena, I used a letter set as the embosser. You can get cookie stamps online or any store that specialises in kitchen products. Im happy to share my favourite cookie stamp stores in Australia if that helps?

It depends on what size cookie cutter you use. I use a 5cm cookie cutter and get 24 cookies out of one batch of dough.

Hello, I use 160°C. Just monitor the cookies as they bake when they start to golden they're done 😊

@cassandracaszo3527 I use the fan bake setting. If you don't have fan bake, bump the temp up to 170°C.
