Super Easy Moroccan Tiles. A Disappearing Hourglass Quilt Made with 5" Scrap Charms

This Super Easy Quilt starts with (72) 5" dark charms (I used scraps) and 72 white charms that are turned into (144) half square triangle blocks, trimmed to 4 1/2". This makes (36) 7 inch finished blocks. This quilt measures 42" X 42".

My best video, so far, only had 48% of the people stay to the end, and I've had some as low as 35% sticking to the very end. I have an idea for a (slightly) more complicated quilt that would require making 2 different disappearing blocks. That would be probably half again longer. I think you are talking about the Top of The Stairs Disappearing Pinwheel Quilt. ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/g32rf6mcl62Ka7c ) I tried making the individual blocks 3 colors and it didn't look as good. But someone suggested making the each Motif (either 2, 3 or 4 squares making a "tile") a single color, which works. The best multicolor layout I have come up with is making each "round" on the quilt a different color. Especially if you make the higher "round" (nearer the center, or the top depending on how you look at it) a lighter shade. For example if you made the center motif with light blue, then the next round a medium blue, then the outer round a dark blue, this looks really good. Does this make sense?
