Just wanted to let everyone know that I made these gluten free (alright my mom actually made them!) -- She used the exact same quantities but with gluten free flour and oats and they turned out amazing-- both gluten free and not gluten free eaters said they were the best cookies they ever ate! Thanks to a nice lady on here who let me know she made them gluten free and they turned out great. Can only recommend!

We have made many preppy kitchen recipes gluten free and they are amazing 😁 sometimes we have to add an extra egg or yolk for more moisture as gluten free flours can be drier.

Hey! Thank you for adding this comment/message. I have gut sensitivities, so too much wheat starch can cause problems, so if I can adapt any wheat flour recipe to non-wheat flour gets bonus points! :)

Ya....we just use an all purpose gluten free flour...we usually decrease sugar as well 🤪 and fiddle with the moisture a bit....we like that his recipes are so perfect that we can get pretty close ❤️ you prob already have practice fiddling with recipes since everything has to be altered.

My cat named Tiago and I love watching your video s🤣 When every I watch your videos, Tiago would run to me and sit on my lap. If I don t lower my mobile, so that Tiago can also watch your video, he would stretch out his neck, and touch my hand, what is holding my mobile, so that he can also see. He adores the stand mixer and also taps it with his paw🤣🤣 The other day my daughter was trying to make dinner and Tiago was in her way, and asked me to please put Preppy on, so that Tiago will leave her to finish up🤣🤣 When Tiago heard your voice, he ran to me and came to lay on my lap and watched your video further. I made these for dessert tonight. Definitely true to the title of the video. So easy to make! The hard part was waiting for the cookies to cool. I added 2oz of cream cheese to my frosting for a bit more richness. This is going on my "make again REAL soon" list. Thanks John! I made these for my husband today for his bday, since these are his favorite Little Debbie's. They are freaking delicious! I just couldn't tell if it was supposed to make 12 individual cookies or 24 to make 12 sandwiches. I had 10 sandwiches and even with being generous with the filling I had about 1/4 cup left over.

these were incredible. I added about 1.5 oz cream cheese into the frosting with the butter and only 200 grams powdered sugar. I need to look into what will stabilize the frosting a bit more but it was all amazing. the extra filling i’m freezing for cinnamon rolls but if you don’t want extra i’d make half.

I vegan-ized this using a homemade flax “egg”, vegan butter, and vegan heavy cream. It came out PERFECT. I brought it to a work function, and everyone said they couldn’t tell they were vegan, and they were AMAZING. 10/10 would recommend.
