I just stumbled on to your channel and I am very impressed. Not just with your skills and ability, but with the no-nonsense style in which you make the videos. You don't need a "hook" to make you stand out against other woodworking channels; your hook is your good woodworking. Oh, and no music, thank you for that! You just earned another subscriber.

Kevin, thank you for the very kind feedback. Honestly, I really appreciate it. This new journey into making videos has been enjoyable. As much as I would love to get videos out faster, I am intentionally trying not to force them out just to make a video. It's a night-gig for me with work and family so time is limited. I'd rather take longer to make a useful video than put out something that doesn't bring value. I appreciate you tuning in, reach out anytime!

Very nice, I didn't even know that a blade like that exists.

Man Chris, that workbench looks great. I'm looking forward to the full unveiling. Cool review of the Dado Set you used - seems pretty sweet!

Thanks, Jon! Can’t wait to get the last few things finished on the bench and get the video out.

You can use solid wood and ply in a sled and mill a groove to take a thinner bottom. Been wondering how well this tool sold ?

I don’t have any information but based on what I’ve seen online not that many people are using it. Very little discussion or videos on it that I have found.

@@CustomCutsByChris Yes, not too many 5/8" arbor saws in Europe anyway. I make boxes with it - I think drawers would need some reinforcement. However the joint is self squaring and can be crosscut in a sled with super accuracy.

@@recipio6561 What size arbor is common in Europe? To my knowledge, all consumer 10" saws in the US are 5/8".
@recipio65612 жыл бұрын
@@CustomCutsByChris A 30 mm short arbor has become standard. The EU doesn't want people removing the guard and riving knife so the manufacturers have adapted the 30 mm arbor. If you look hard enough you will find a 5/8 " arbor and then of course you can buy tools like the Miter Fold Blade from the U.S. It's not actually ' illegal ' to use one.

@@recipio6561 Interesting, thanks for sharing! Explains why dado stacks are generally not available over there either.

Great video Chris! Good review and detail, had me considering it till you mentioned the price. Pricey!

Thanks for watching, David! Definitely not cheap and is probably why I haven’t seen many woodworkers using it.
