Although you don’t owe us explanations on how you staff pour day, it is nice to get the knowledge out there for those who really only understand concrete from direct pour …or even mixing bags. That doesn’t include the increased logistics of coordinating the production of video (there is little to no staged shots) in real-time. The progress is exciting. Always great when the “boss” is pleased….to get attaboys and “you were right to press me” is 🔥

It has to feel wonderful walking around on the first floor now! This is getting very exciting, Geoff. And I have to commend your crew. They do know what they're doing and they do it very efficiently. Simple mistakes ALWAYS happen even when you plan for them. The mere fact of pouring that much concrete and you only had one small area of under-pour is amazing. Of course you don't want any, but as I mentioned, my dad poured concrete for 15 years. He said there were always pour mistakes unless you were dealing with a couple of yards or less. Looks awesome!

All Garages should be connected to house by a Breezeway for house insurance to include Garage in its policy, avoiding more expensive Homeowners Rider Policy to Insure Garage, cause Garage is then covered under the homeowner blanket policy, a elimination of fire hazard and chemical storage considerations !

Thank you for the video update. I haven't seen metal framing put up this way before. Rarely do you see workers climbing ladders, usually framing like this is erected by workers on electric powered man lifts and scissor life, guys definitely don't go up and down step ladders all day. The lifts are usually rented by the week, few are actually owned by contractors. I would have expected to see at least three or four scissor lifts on a job this size. I guess they'll have great thighs and calves when they're done. I couldn't do it, I'd be worn out.

That is awesome progress. I've built some buildings, added on to my house and finished out a basement, but none of that was on this scale. I am assuming the basement floor will be concrete and wondering why it wasn't poured before the metal pan went on.
