I was 7. Always loved that HBO intro. Superfuzz was my favorite thing to watch on HBO. I even got up and snuck like a ninja to watch it at 1am.

There's probably a 100% chance I was watching this on that February day. Basically, everytime HBO aired this, I watched it. :) I had no idea this was basically an Italian movie until about 2 decades after HBO ran it to death. This movie really needs a Blu-Ray release, pronto.

This was played constantly back in the early days of HBO. Just like I would with Star Wars, I would watch it EVERY time it came on. My favorite scene was when Dave would blow the bubble gum up so big that he and his partner would float on it over the city.

I will forever remember watching this on HBO, playing my Colecovision, my Commodore 64, and watching Fraggle Rock as well... The little doco on how they made the HBO intro was great too! I work in movies now :D I think growing up in the 80s on these made that happen!

This is memorable for me. Seeing this on HBO, made me appreciate this now as an adult. I remember how I lived this, and my parents didn't. As an adult, I can see why, but treasure the childhood innocence of enjoying this as a child.

The last time I remember seeing Super Fuzz on HBO was in the late summer of 1984. Thank you for posting with promos. Does anyone out there remember movies like "Under The Rainbow" "On The Right Track" or "TAG The Assassination Game?" All were aired on HBO around the time of "Super Fuzz" I really wish they'd offer subscribers a vintage HBO channel complete with the old promos and bumpers :).

I, like soooo many others, remember watching this film over and over on HBO as a kid. Its funny. I thought I was alone. I never figured there were a bunch of us had the same experience. HBO was guilty of raising a generation of now middle aged adults. My brother is five years older than me and he doesn't remember HBO being a major part of his adolescence. So the way I have it figured, if you were born between 1973 - 1978, cable TV was basically your babysitter. There was Super Fuzz, Looker, Over the Edge, Hawk The Slayer, Seems Like Old Times, Hot Stuff, Emmett Otter's Jug Band Christmas, Freddy the Freeloader's Xmas Dinner, Stoned (that Scott Baio classic), Flash Gordon, They Call Me Bruce, Roller Boogie, A Force Of One, The Hunter, Oh God Book II, How To Beat The High Cost Of Living, and Shipwreck just to name a few off the top of my head. God, some people may think my childhood was wasted indoors, stuck in front of a 25 inch TV (encased in a wood) connected to a box that had a long wire which led to another box that had 10 to 15 big buttons you had to push down to change the channels...remember old school cable boxes? Where's my time machine...?

Add to that Rich Little's A Christmas Carol and HBO Theatre where they had stage versions of Plaza Suite, Wait Until Dark, and Snow White, which reminds me. During this time period, HBO was showing Disney movies. The first time I saw Mary Poppins was on HBO.

I watched this as a kid too and now I'm 42 too...lol...I took the film too seriously and didn't realize it was meant as a comedy. Plus I never could get over Hill's accent. Had no idea until recently that was he was Italian doing his best American accent. Still knew every word to the theme song when I heard it and its been 20 years since I last watched this.

My father took me when I was 5 years old to go see this at the Drive In when it first was released. Oh how I LOVED this movie when I was a kid!!! I begged my dad to take me to go see it. I now think it is the corniest thing ever, but I like Terrence Hill's accent. I never noticed until now how non-american it and this movie are. The ending use to be one of my absolute favorites even though it's incredibly so so off the wall and cheesy low budget by today's film making standards.

I remember seeing the opening of HBO, showing how they made the effects in space before the words spiral in. I recall they did it by photo graphing two plates, one moving over the other to create the "explosion." Wow, I remember summer vacation in 81, watching this when there was nothing to do. Thye would show it like three or four times a day.
