As someone with 0 slapping knowledge but with some boxing knowledge Id say this: it looks to be more of a technical thing than pure power. In order to knock someone out, its more about hitting them at the bottom of the chin, where the leverage to move the head is much higher than higher up towards the ear. And quickly moving the head causes it to shut down, resulting in a knock out. The pro knew exactly what he was doing, he did not even have to slap that hard, it was more about hitting the bottom of your chin. Larry most likely did not know this, coupled with the pro actually flinching and tucking his chin in (illegal) and having a beard so thick it actually obscures the exact location of the bottom of the chin.

It's definitely one of the stupidest, more brain damaging sports out there. I've done MMA and boxing most of my life. At 67 years old I'm taking it more easy. I did boxing sparring last year with 4 powerful bodybuilders in there 20s and 30s at the gym. We sparred without any mouthpiece or headgear. I weighed 150 lbs. The 4 guys I sparred with weighed from 190 to 230 lbs. At least in MMA or boxing you can use different evasive defensive tactics to avoid being punched or kicked in the head or to lessen the impact. But with the sport of slapping a person can be taking a full power slap to the head. With the all the possible injuries to the neck, spine, face and brain.

This obese guy just making up “exercises”, probably on the fly, is one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a while. Larry is a good sport for going along with it. My favourite was him keeping quiet about the stupid “wrist exercise”, and then proceeding to show some ACTUAL wrist strengthening exercises 😂
