Lionel, thanks for putting on an awesome show on Saturday. You are an inspiration. I was there and the spectating was generally good, but we couldn't see a leaderboard from the seats. In the future, that would be nice for the virtual parts of the race (it was displayed but too small to see). Thanks again!

Great format ! it would be awesome if there was an option for age groupers to do similar style indoor races. Would you consider doing a full Ironman distance triathlon indoors if it was available ?

Lionel, you create a big amount of drag during your entry phase, especially with you left arm. I wonder how you haven't payed attention to this so far. It is so obvious on every video with you swimming. Your recovery is somewhat too...flat let's say. Wish you many years of success from now on. You are an inspiration. Seems like what you need is just a piece of art or elegance, some more smoothness and fluidity of movement not only on swimming but as a whole. It will increase you efficiency dramatically, spare a lot of energy which dissipates unused.

I watched it live. Great job, but i had a few questions. 1. I understand the aero benefits of the sleeves for IM, but wouldn't sleveless work better in this environment? 2. Your bike setup looked like a good road bike, but do you think for zwift a more open endurance bike setup would allow you to get more O2 in and power out? 3. Did anyone get a good photo of your bike face? You should sell that, or maybe the arena games should use that on advertisements. Maybe you should send it to your competitors as a christmas card.

Watched the race with enthusiasm. I celebrated how Lionel fought his way back again and again or was the first to jump into the water when the order was reversed. But to be clear, there wasn't that much missing overall. The main drawback was the swim. A few seconds less loss and Lionel could have won it, but of course you don't know if later winners could have run a little bit faster. But really absolutely gripping and impressive. You always like to root for the potential underdog in the format and here in this particular case many people didn't even think that Lionel could have a chance. Fantastic. Maybe it's a pity that the TV coverage was very much on Lionel and maybe a bit less on the winners etc. but at least more people were watching because of the guest appearance. The beauty of the format is and was that the integration of Zwift actually meant that there was no slipstreaming at all. Overall, this has the advantage that not necessarily the best swimmer wins. Especially in the short distance with allowed slipstreaming it is even more extreme. For me, the fascination of triathlon actually consists of the components swimming, individual time trial, running. In other words, a real individual time trial. I come exactly from this single time trial and what you can see mostly in triathlon is a lot of things, but no single time trial especially not in the agegroupers. Overall a great format. Maybe a bit very short sections, but of course that is also difficult. For the rest, I find the distances a bit strange. 200m swim is proportionally even a longer distance than the already long 1500m for the Olympic distance. For an Olympic distribution you would have been allowed to swim only 150m. And if you take 1.9/90/21.1 or full distance as a basis, it would have been even less with about 84-90m swim. So the disadvantage for Lionel was already bigger than normal. Of course difficult to implement for the changes and therefore probably simply 200m were taken. Greetings

I mean, had Lionel started swimming earlier in his life and had spent 10-20s less in the water he would have been in contention for the win, on basically no specific training and being ten years older than most of the competition. I don't know if that speaks to the incredible talent of Lionel or the lack thereof in these younger guys - or maybe it's their current training that's keeping them back slightly and ironman training isn't as detrimental to these sorts of events as you'd think. I don't know. Very entertaining to watch either way!
