Ur the man Lionel. The fact that you are smiling, that you took time to take a photo for a fan after such a disappointment shows what you are really made of. Pure beast. I respect you to the max

You were annoyed but I can’t believe how gracious you were. I know I would not have been able to talk and analyze things the way you did until several weeks after a race. Keep up the great work, you’ll came back stronger with this attitude.

I was following the APP and knew right away something was wrong. Ouch my man, stay strong and recover soon. I echo the sentiment; you have one of the BIGGEST heart I've ever seen. Even after a crash your humility and poise to take a picture with a young fan is priceless. What a class of human kindness.

Don't say "this is my luck." You are extremely lucky, always, Lionel! Remember what Bruce Lee said, don't say anything negative about yourself even in a joking way. You are the legend, the beast. You'll heal up and win the next one.

My crash at 50 kmh cost me 6 broken ribs in my back and a smashed collarbone that needed 2 operations, including a bone infusion from my hip. 3 months sitting up and no lying down. You were a very lucky man. Get well soon.

I know first hand how much it sucks to be out of a race due to a crash. My shoulder was fully dislocated after a crash in 2021 and I could barely move. Full recovery took about 6 months to get everything back up to strength so I'm so happy to see Lionel being relatively okay after the crash. Of course he's beat up, but at that speed it could have been much worse. Love you, Lionel! Wish you a speedy recovery!

The reason people are drawn to you is because of how grounded and humble you are. It connects well with every fan. The reason Sam Long doesn’t connect with fans is because he lacks those qualities…and isn’t close to recognizing it.

Talbot did you consider the video title: Crash Miami!! ? I do a lot of crit racing. The faster you go the more the lean, the shorter your crank to road length, which is not something you would discover until race pace, which you wouldn't do for any sustained length of time in a recce. A shame they couldn't use the outer most track with no corners??? Would have been much safer? Bummed you came off, glad it wasn't too serious. Hope you're healing well and back into training asap.

I like the slowmotion bike mount. LS why can’t you do a running mount and land with feet into shoes since you are already giving up big time in the water? It’s not that hard of a skill to learn. Practice running mounts 50+ times in running shoes so you don’t skin up your toes, and then start doing it barefoot.
