I think ESL should be held after 2yrs or so ....and the Winners should get to qualify for Club World Cup......as for the matches there should not be more than 10 matches ....in this way it'll be more competitive and FIFA won't complain too much ....and the tournament should be held after all the domestic tournaments are over i.e between April and June ....this way there'll be football through the whole year and fans wouldn't have to wait too much

I believe the issue is the 'either CL or SL'. Most clubs have already withdrawn from SL. SL is about big teams competing regularly but since a lot of them have already withdrawn the competition will be lacklustre. Monopoly should come to an end nonetheless

The whole idea is driven by hate for the English Premier League because of it's popularity. This league is only made for the interest of those 2 clubs (Barcelona and Real Madrid).. premier league distribute their revenue equally throughout 20 teams... But in la liga Barca and Real Madrid get most of it. Now there is not that much viewership in la liga after Messi -Ronaldo so they try to implement ment this league to make them financially stable. Many pro footballers underestimate the power of the game by not bringing the game upto the level of the standards to be maintained as a player at first. It’s understandable that not every one can be Messi and can sweat hard like CR7 but at least can be a better part of top players. ESL is gonna revolutionize football. The fact that UEFA and FIFA threatened to ban the clubs from their competitions if they joined ESL is a sign of fear that they knew something better was gonna replace them. Finally, the clubs would be able to keep more of their hard earned money instead of getting leeched by UEFA and FIFA. And we finally get to watch more quality fixtures. The smaller clubs even get to earn 2x . Based on the current scenario, Saudia league being an good upcoming league will force the smaller clubs to declare bankruptcy sooner or later. Thus, we need ESL for sustainability of our football. Also, once ESL replaces UEFA, players will be made to play less games which will solve the player injury problems. UEFA never cared about the fans or players, making the player injury woes a complete joke.

You want underdog stories but those underdog teams such as ajax, villareal, leicester! See where they are now! 1 of them fighting relegation, 1 of them is in 2nd division and 1 of them is out of europe! I totally agree with you this super league is simply giving weapons to those those kind of teams that you mentioned who have history fans and cultures but no money and the other types of who were performed but can't retain their managers and look at the villereal who was at semi final by beating Bayern and Sevilla who recently won another europa league. Hey, if the most important reason for non epl clubs to form esl is to get larger revenue, what if esl just totally copies the ucl,europa, conference league format ? That way the argument against esl that it is elitist is gone & the teams that do better in their domestic league will get better revenue in esl as compared to ucl,europa, conference. I mean the main purpose is to demolish monopoly of uefa, so esl in uefa competition format would be also a good option. A parallel competition to uefa leagues but one that gives larger revenue will straighten up uefa as well.
