As of this comment this PB of mine is almost 2 and a half years old, which is pretty surreal to think about. I haven't touched SM64DS for almost 2 years now, as I moved on to different speedruns to learn and take seriously. This was the first that I ever took seriously speedrunning, and I always felt like nobody cared about this run. It makes me feel happy looking back on this that so many people ended up watching this video and enjoyed it, and that I was able to inspire many others to run this through my tutorials and my SGDQ run. I guess you can say I was a "pioneer" for this run. As of now the world record stands at 11:00 by Rupa. It's insane how much optimization and such has been found. Thanks all for watching friends :)

I am legit amazed. At first I was "oh, so they discovered a way of clipping behind the locked doors without BLJ?" Then I saw the Yoshi shenanigans and was like "wait, is this just to unlock Mario? Wouldn´t the normal first star have been faster than the whole walking below the lake thing?" Then I realized it was to make the rabbits spawn and give Mario early access to the bottom floor. THEN I saw the rabbit clip to get to the 2nd Bowser stage early. And from then on my mind fucking exploded. Bravo you good sir/gal.

Video game voice acting wasn't taking seriously back then. They basically just took the first woman who agreed to do the role. Nowadays you have actual actors and casting. Back then Mario was the star you hear 99% of the time so they focused mostly on his fit.

Both Luigi and Wario can grab and kill Bowser but they are both significantly more out of the way than Mario and in the long run wouldn't be much better anyway. Wario is slow and awkward to control. Luigi is better than Mario however the only way to obtain him is in BBH making him useless in this category.
