Possible thought, if there is a glitch to go to the twelve star door early, then that means Wario can be unlocked with only one star! All that would be needed is: - 1 Star (to enter character room) - 12 Star Door glitch - This glitch - Mirror glitch (To go through mirror) This is Awesome BTW!

You can in fact unlock him with 1 star. You don't use this glitch though: after 8 star door skip and unlocking Mario, you go to the basement (accessible because moat skip was done at the start), and then use a rabbit clip to get into Bowser in the Fire Sea. Then you can just use the key to get upstairs, and do mirror clip from there. You can see this route (up until going upstairs) in some obsolete TASes, and also real-time Any% runs: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rXTRfKiDl7aqb9E

It's not an invisible painting. The loading zone behind the door can be activated without going through the door, and for some reason in that scenario it plays a different sound effect.

liljon042 Just getting Out of Bounds is possible by slidekicking into the corner, though it can take a few tries. Some easy glitches to show off would be walking underwater in Dire, Dire Docks, endless stairs skip (with a bit of practice) and the tree clip outside the castle.

I was brainstorming ways to do this skip as Yoshi since sharkey91 had found a way to do it as Luigi, meaning we were one step away from skipping the fight completely. I eventually remembered this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aIOceKKKrppkeNUm20s Then I had the idea to use that clip to do this skip, and as you can see it worked! How long something takes to TAS really depends on how precise it is, how long it is, and how much I want to optimise it. For this trick I spent 45 minutes or so figuring out the initial OoB, 20m navigating along the seam, and then decided to re-TAS it because I took a while to get the clip and spent another 25m or so doing that. This was difficult and precise so it took a while to do even though it's very short, longer videos have taken less.

Something isn't set properly when you take the loading zone. Possibly that's the default sound, and the door has a property to change it. I don't know the technical details.

Said shortly; if you take the door, the loading zone property gets overlapped by the door sequence. And as he said, if we avoid this, the default sound is the painting/level entering sound.

Glitchmaster Nah. Anything that involves seam movement will not be possible in real time, with some very limited exceptions. Seam movement is tough even to TAS!

@@maulanwong3841 As I said in the comment above, the full skip is TAS-only. On console you can clip Out of Bounds (and get stuck below the loading zone, potentially) but the seam movement is too precise to do without savestates.
