If you want to get the rom, vimms lair is the safest place to do it. Most other rom sites are full of viruses.

I had the same problem at first. You have to delete and then reinstall the build. Don’t close the building program when you start the game, then it should be good.

@@limpbizkit6245 strange are they all the USA version? I think the version i used had the extension .Z64. Did the Mario 64 plus file download correctly and not corrupt anything? Maybe redownload it and try again. Otherwise it's the roms not being compatible. What version windows are you using? Did you go to the external software website and install there product? That website gives you the tools to create the mod.

This is my all time favorite game as a kid. Once I got all the bits and pieces downloaded I couldn’t stop playing for hours!!!! Brings back a bunch of memories. hey i had the same problem and it took so long to fix but it it is a simple fix and doesn't take long. The problem is in the windows security app - app and browser control - exploit protection. scroll down to system settings and look for (force randomization images mandatory aslr) and (memorize memory allocations bottom-up aslr) set those to options to off by default, restart your computer, and try again. hope this helps

I have both gamecube controllers with adapters as well as switch procons, and neither one is working. Theyre connected to the actual PC and work in steam and such, but not in this. is there anything I can do to get either of these to work? Thanks

There is an error during the installation process that recommends me to use another rom file, I tried using a modified rom and it didn't work. And installing the Japanese Version obviously doesn't work since it's different and the installation requires a US rom.
