Hi everyone, you may have stumbled upon this trailer and wondered "Where is the full version?" It's still happening, there are just heavy delays. When this trailer was released, there was controversy where a video was made in response to this with a lot of presumptions, and unfortunately it sent a lot of negativity my way and caused me to lose a lot of passion for this project. I wanted to make sure that my heart was 100% on it when I was working on this so the project was at it's best, and ultimately when I got that passion back, I had a slew of health problems arise which is why I didn't upload for nearly 2 years. In summary, It's being worked on, I'm very happy with how it looks so far and the people I've shown it too enjoy it as well, and it WILL be released at some point in 2024, preferably earlier.

I've seen a few people talk about this being "too depressing" and having the potential to hurt the community, but I think people asking for you to edit this trailer to be less depressing are causing infinitely more harm. It's just such a selfish mindset for someone to be like, "Hey, can you not show these people being sad?" People are already depressed. It's not like you're injecting feelings where they aren't felt, you're just giving these runners a space to talk about how they really feel. Speedrunning is a hobby that can push people to some pretty steep cliffs if they don't know what to expect, so it's no surprise that they go through some dark feelings. We always see the clips of runners at their best, so we have an unrealistic view of the hobby and them as people. I legitimately can't imagine why people would want you to make this "less depressing". It honestly makes me feel like they'd rather the speedrunners not talk about the real problems they go through, just so they wouldn't feel uncomfortable watching them. I can't wait to see what the full doc looks like. It's a side of speedrunning that isn't talked about nearly as often as it should be.

I have very high hopes for this and would love if this comes out as good as the trailer. This is really something that really needs to be touched on more in the speedrunning community and I'm glad to see it being made. Best of luck to everyone that works on this and runs this game!

Its still being worked on! The last 2 years have been a rollercoaster when it comes to my health unfortunately and Im still in the process of figuring out how to navigate life with new challenges (hence why my channel has been dormant for over a year). Ive also added 3 more interviews since this trailer so the project keeps getting bigger which also takes time haha. I don't know exactly when I'll upload episode 1 but It shouldn't be too far in the new year if all goes well! thanks for checking in and your interest.

I recognize that profile picture, whats up flixer lol. I posted an update on twitter a few months back, but TLDR Ive been dealing with health issues for the past year and a half and it's gotten to the point where Ive had to put this on hold and work on other things since the health issues have put me in an uncomfortable financial position. I still am making progress on this, it's still being worked on, but it's a massive project for just one person to do and i can't risk anymore of my financial future than I already have by putting more time into it unfortunately. I am hopeful for maybe late this year/early next year depending on how my other projects go. I know ive let a lot of people down and I wish i had a better answer for you :(

My first impression of this video is a 4 minute video of stock sad piano music with runners talking about not having fun, going insane or being depressed and losing their will to live, this is kinda putting speedrunning into a bad light, I hope the future episodes will be good :/...

Im sorry you feel that I've done that. I promise you it's not my intention to do so. My goal is to show the dedication that runners have put into their craft, and the sacrifices they've made to get to the top. I want people to understand why runners get upset when they lose runs, and I want to let these runners stories help the future generation of runners learn from their past trials and tribulations. I have been given some great stories by some of the top runners and I want to create a resource for them where they can point people to and say "this is how i made it through this, and maybe this can help you through it too".
