Very nice play. I remember when I first played this, and Hawkmouth came right off the wall---at the time, that was pretty scary. It's still a great moment in the game.

As far as Mario 2/ Doki Doki Panic vs Mario 2/ The Lost Levels goes, I'm actually glad that Nintendo decided what they did. When TLL was released in Japan it had a bad reception there, and I'm willing to bet it would have had elsewhere because, purism aside, TLL really is just a reworked Mario 1, so it's more like Mario 1.5. Calling it The Lost Levels allows those that want it to to play it, while allowing the Mario franchise to stretch its legs rather than get stuck in one style.

It was hard to tell at first, but I think you're playing a different NES version of SMB 2 than I did growing up. The version I had didn't have green Snifits or Birdos making a "boss sound" when hit, and Phanto always backed off after bumping into the player when he/she had a Starman.

Was not a glitch, that's the way the game works. If you notice the new Birdo didn't have the egg-stomach. This happens when you go back more than the necessary.

Well, once you know the patterns of those games, Legacy of the Wizard becomes very easy, but Battletoads remains a very tough one. I completed Battletoads, but just once. All i wanted was to prove to myself I could do it. I did, and then, never played it again. Ha! Ha! I still play Legacy of the Wizard, since it's the kind of game we like to play again. :)

They all have special abilitys. Toad maybe the fastest. Luigi has the high jump, Peach has her flying ability and Mario WELL is just well rounded (lol)

Your a beast. The only way I can deafeat Wart is to get behind him and wait till his mouth opens and I usually do this with the princess.
