dang pulse 1 does not sound very great on its own but it's masterful with pulse 2
@sleepyren_ Жыл бұрын
i believe that was done on purpose. most games use pulse 1 for the main melody, but sound effects usually drown out the music so they did the cool thing and put it on the second channel, that way the audio sounds less weird

This was in the credits medley of the movie (the snippet that was already released a few weeks ago)! I'd love to see you throw in some more that were in there in the coming days 👀

What does DPCM means?
@Orj_Osc Жыл бұрын
"DPCM" is the acronym of "Delta Pulse Code Modulation". In the Famicom/NES, it's basically a sound channel that can play actual samples instead of 8-bit sounds generated directly in the system. However, the samples will be in a 7-bit sample rate, which means that they will be in very low quality. Each sample also takes up space in the cartridge. Attends, d'où il y a ojamajo83 qui regarde mes vidéos ??? Salut ojamajo83 ! Ça fait des années que je te suis. =p

Et ça permet de comprendre comment sont construites pas seulement les musiques de jeux vidéos mais les musiques en général. :)

yea older games perform the music live with the system's audio channels, but newer games play a pre-made audio file and you can't isolate the tracks without recreating the whole thing
