all i remember after repeated playthroughs is i eventually destroyed or opened every breakable block to find any power ups or hidden coins. for every single stage level. the stacked coin blocks where you jump into it and they don't break or turn into metal duds with no more coin were always a surprise to find. since how was there more coins coming out of this block by hitting it again and again when other ordinary coin blocks is one hit one coin and done. with these loaded blocks there is a timer within where after the first hit and coin accumulated there is about a 5-10 second window before it elapses. leaving only one last coin and once collected renders it to an unbreakable block or stud. max amount from said loaded block is around 8-10 coins depending how fast you time your landing and jumping in successive feats. if you're lazy you can hit it once and maybe twice within that elapsed timed period before it's a bunk block of nothing and no more coin to gain. i mean it is kind of funny bonking mario and luigi's brains out on blocks for a few coins. but in rapid feverish succession it's kind of crazy before the hidden timer runs out anyways. least you may eventually acquire a 1-up hitting that 100 coin mark. it's too bad real life didn't work quite as easy as that. anyways, back to this video i am again a bit surprised to see there is some logic into finding these houses. i didn't know if there was actual in game triggers or events that need to happen for them to actually occur. say about having 22 coins and the clock timer at 2:22 / 88, 66, 44, 22 seconds remaining. course clear screen with score totaled with a similar 2222/4444/6666/8888 somewhere on the board. as a kid playing this game over and over my only finds were on world 1. mainly world 1-3 the auto scroller. going back to my strat of finding every power up possible this white mushroom treasure shop requires collecting every single coin in the level. once you do that you're rewarded with the illusive ethereal white and black spotted shifting can't sit still mushroom toad pad. always exciting to see since it's not your typical leaf, flower or mushroom powerup but a "P" wing or other rarer item the anchor if on other worlds. the weird part is i can't really remember much on how i summoned the white coin ship. it's odd enough one of the hammer bros mysteriously transform into a boat like that to begin with. i read online again something to do with double digits aligning and things like that. all i know is it stems back to me collecting every coin and eliminating every enemy on screen in the stage level. if i played my cards right in world 1 i always saw 1 white mushroom house from 1-3 and randomly trigger the white coin ship from clearing all enemies and collecting every single coin i could. i wanted to test that theory eventually for every world. just to see if there is at least 1 white coin treasure ship and 1 white mushroom treasure shop toad house. i know i've encountered more than 1 of each of those in one world on separate occasions but i don't remember if i did anything differently. only differences would be possibly finding an extra coin or two i overlooked, eliminating an enemy i haven't found before, the remaining seconds left on course cleared or something to do with how high my scores were for points. as it is it's insane to see one of my favorite childhood games completely dissected from tas runs. also to see a lot of new tricks into clearing levels faster. i have yet to look into what and where is every secret and item for SMB3. i plan on playing again soon though just for kicks. also to test out what's shown here in the video. if they got warpless speedruns going i'm sure they're gonna have 100% coins, 100% items, 100% secrets ( at least what we know of now ) in the categories. loads of opportunity to play around on this old classic game

Can someone explain why I can't get the 1-up's from hitting enemies? I go past 8,000 and only get one.

I never liked those anchors. As long you played all the levels in the world, you were fine.

Lol. How the hell the players gonna figure out all on their own the specific number of coins to get the shroom houses and also the score/coin number for the treasure ship 😂

so the anchor use for what?
@77RetroGamer3 жыл бұрын
An Anchor will prevent an Airship from moving if Mario fails to clear it, thereby eliminating the need to trek long distances to try again to complete the level.

Pretty much useless if you save first.

it's a real solid concept yet once it's used in the game virtually nothing happens. the ship doesn't fly around to random spots and stays put. unless there's something else at play while the ship is held down like that and other lost levels to explore or something, I don't know for certain. only the game creators really know or programmers with the unused program bits

(White mushroom house)But you get just a P wing .? You can get a p wing almost at any time
@user-qq6xk3ic6q2 ай бұрын
almost at any time ? what ? maybe after finishing a world and you get rewarded from the princess's letter. also after completing the entire game and defeating bowser. if you wait through the credit screens for the curtain down. the curtains reopen. item stock bar is reupped and topped up full of "P" wings. "Free Play" mode unlocked essentially, just like in UMK3 with unlimited lives
