I still own my giant talking Bob Hoskins from when I was 5. I'm now 35. My late Dad bought it for me and I remember him introducing it by pulling the gag from the games when Mario grows in size by acquiring a mushroom using the smaller Hoskins action figure lol I particularly love the sculpt detail on the stomper boots. For some reason I never tried to get the Luigi one. I just know I wish one of his phrases had been "Not till you give us Daisy biscuit head!!" lol

@@elwoodjacobs4353 Funnily enough I never see them listed on ebay. I've often thought about tracking the Luigi one down as a 30th anniversary treat lol But I don't think it's going to happen. I also have the boxed police car vehicle which in itself seems to never be up for sale.

I don’t want to hear anybody talk about “grew up on Mario” “80s/90s kid” And then turn around a bash this movie or the toy line lmao! Like yeah, humans can’t jump 20 feet in the air, seems like hydraulic jump boots is a good explanation for the Mario Bros having super human powers🤔 I’m gonna have to start a YT channel with something other in mind beside piggybacking lager YT channels🤦‍♂️ Just the fact that the film detailing the back drop of Mario & Luigi being plumbers is golden! Any body working construction, specifically Underground Utilities/excavation work will tell you that a trench 30 feet in the ground, sewers tunnels etc is the perfect place to find something crazy or mysterious, ask me how I know🤙 🤦‍♂️ I never heard anybody bash this movie till it became popular on the internet🤷‍♂️

@@zackgb if any retro sequel would be a modern blockbuster this Mario verse would be it! An entire Dinohattan filled with as many Woke culture characters/stereotypes as possible would fill Hollywood quota, and be the most believable spectacle in years, and fits this world perfectly💯 Old man (John Leguizamo) Luigi, deceased Mario🤙 full Cannon Films style!

The irony is despite all that so called backlashing the movie recently topped sales charts of DVD's on Amazon (even outclassing orders for the new animated Mario film lol). I think it's new fans discovering it's existence and chances are they will have much more positive views on it. People spend waaay too much time listening to the opinions of overrated internet ranters like the "Nostalgia Critic" instead of actually screening a film themselves and drawing their own critical conclusions.

I like these toys, they give you a sneak peak of the earlier cuts of the movie, I bet Luigi was going to say "see you later alligator" to Koopa. Just like that cut of the movie where Daisy was also gonna de-evolve Koopa

I actually goofed up. In my mind, I remembered Luigi saying “it’s the creeps who stole Daisy.” Could not for the life of me remember if it was from the extended cut or if I imagined it, turns out re-listening that it was on the audio adaptation cassette!
