I noticed all the animation quirks in this game. This games animation feels a little like stop motion, which really adds a lot to the the style this game is going for. AND THE SPLASH ARTS IN THE BACKGROUND ARE ALL SO GOOD! I seriously love it. I will say that the glide cap had a missed opportunity to just make the princesses float with their dressed like older games.

I never noticed it but it seems like if you spam fireball Mario throws with the hand facing closest to the camera (like normal) and then throws with the opposite. This might suggest that he can only throw two before having to wait for a sec. Unlike in older games where, since there can only be two fireballs on screen per character, if you were up against a wall you could spam as fast as you wanted. Side note the reason Mario can only throw two before having to wait for them to disappear is because of hardware limitation on the nes (being that it could only render so many sprites as once) and it just kinda stuck.

Was very hyped for this game and now that it's out, I just wanna say, possibly the best looking Mario game I've ever seen since Odyssey. It's absolutely WONDERFUL and I enjoyed ALL the new mechanics Nintendo threw in there to make it feel more fresh and exciting! They REALLY cared about THIS one!

In the trailer, Bowser's eyes in his airship are spiraling. This could mean Bowser is controlled by some entity, like flowers. In the flower kingdom, we see many goombas asleep, probably dozing off to the flowers effect from being in the flower kingdom. My theory here is that the flower effects are messing with Bowser. Think about it, Bowser's castle is mysteriously green, this game is being centered towards flowers. (daisy, talking flowers) there also seems to be flowers everywhere. That leads me to my next theory, king wart comes back. King wart is known for fighting Mario in a DREAM world and what is everyone doing in the flower kingdom? Falling asleep. This would also explain why Bowser's castle is strangely green. My head canon is that king wart planted these talking flowers meant to help Mario get to Bowser's airship, where he can finish off Mario and his crew once and for all and rule the mushroom kingdom. I'm probably wrong but who cares it's just a *game theory* xd

It’s intentional, the artstyle is based on the hand drawn Mario art style by Kotabe which has the eyebrows over the hat so you can see them at all times. It’s a common thing used in character design where the eyebrows are visible through hair and hats to always see the characters expression.
