Definitely the most creative levels I've seen. The items as currency to buy power ups is GENIUS!!! I've been saying that the Mario Bros series could use it as an option in games.

To be fair, the original Super Mario Bros. only had that, because of the way the levels were compressed. To cut down on the data size, the order of the tiles determined their palette, so the color data wouldn't be taking up valuable ROM space. For example, the 1-1 tiles are: 0-63 = Green 64-127 = Brown 128-191 = White 192-255 = Yellow

I liked the shell maze better. That boss was the shell you were in. I want a level in a goomba, a level in a shy guy, a level in bullet bill, maybe even one where you go inside buzzy beets himself.

Also it would be definitely cool if the shell stopped moving when the timer makes the timer almost ran out sound and then when it runs out, a giant shellless koopa kajumps into the giant shell and squishes you dead. I don’t know about the giant shell maze rom hack but, I did like the remix of the clock level music from Super Mario 3D Land. The Nintendo Switch is ok but, the 3DS was my favorite not only because it had the most of my favorite games I’ve ever played in my lifetime but, it fitted in your pocket, it had quite a few weird but simple and fun features, apps and gimmicks but, my favorite thing about it was the fact and huge variety of DSI ware games and apps plus the variety of virtual consoles you could download and play AND the backwards compatibility of playing DSI and DS games was great. It was like having an arcade in your pocket. That remix brings back good nostalgia. I wish the Switch was more like that. The Switch has good graphics but, none of the games are fun enough to the point where I would want to play them over & over again or the games are too hard for me to complete. Like I never completed Luigi’s Mansion 3 and I only got pass the first few shrines in The Legend of Zelda:Breath of the Wild which stinks because I use to love puzzle & adventure with some combat in it. Well, I guess it doesn’t really matter now, I lost all my eye sight from glaucoma and sense there is no cure, I’m just a retired gamer, which really stinks when you’re only 26 and been playing video games since the days of the SNES or N64. I just play KZbin videos of other gamers so I would feel like I’m part of something that I know about. Still, nowhere as fun as gaming though unfortunately. The only complaints I ever have about the 3DS is the 3D effect was kind of dumb, it hurts your eyes or made you nauseous, the L and R buttons would stop working or get stuck and if you were competitive and rough like me the circle pad would fall off and so did the label for the Select, Home and Start button on a regular 3DS. LOL!

Those strange blocks you came across when you sacrificed yoshi are crates that you can pick up and throw around. It was probably intended to throw the crates into the lava like in Super Mario Maker 2
