In today's mario evolution of the enemy/character/power up/item series we are going to look at the origin, secrets, timeline, story, lore, mysteries and history of the fire, ice, cloud, boomerang and gold flower seen in the super mario bros games made by nintendo. We have seen these power ups in games like super mario bros, super mario world, super mario land, super mario galaxy, new super mario bros wii, super mario 3d land, mario and luigi partners in time, super smash bros, mario kart wii and there is even a reference to them in the new super mario odyssey for the nintendo switch. However in what ways did these abilities help mario, luigi, toad, peach, wario and others to defeat bowser, bowser jr, the koopalings and the broodals? How did they change and evolve throughout time? How did they help take back worlds and levels? Well let's find out!

Technically, the tulip design for the fire flower as a power up, was in another game besides Super Mario World. It was also that design in Super Mario Land 2: The 6 Golden Coins.

Fun fact: super mario land is actually the first super mario game to introduce a new flower power up, the superball flower replace the classic fire one. So what does it do ? Well it bounces around Killing enemies and only one can be on screen and that's it. It did reappeared in super mario maker 2 as a unlockable power up for the smb1 style only.

Personally, I think the Ice and Boomerang flowers are the best flowers in my opinion, the ice power is great for freezing annoying enemies or DISSOLVE enemies like Podoboos and the boomerangs are also great for hitting annoying enemies from afar... but I love the other flowers to...

its amazing how you dont realize that fire flowers and other final stage power ups had to advance you pass the super mushroom stage in order for the power up saving mechanic to work at all. like you realize if they didnt either getting hit would have to make you go back just to super mushroom (which you also seem to hate) or else the power up saving might as well turn them all into just super mushrooms

Out of the games mentioned in the video i have: Ds: Mario Bros, Mario 64, Mario 3D land Wii: Mario Bros wii, mario galaxy, mario galaxy 2 Ohh and i've also tried the old Nintendo 64 version of mario 64 as i once lended my ant's and the old mario bros version on computer. Oh and there is actually a flower in both mario 64 versions in witch gives different powers depending on the level in the old version and depending on witch caracter you use in the ds version. Its called power flower and i think it might relate to the old design of fire flower, altho the fire flower itself not neccecarily relates. Also in youshi island ds version (the old one) there is a flower with exactly tje sae design as 2nd desing of fire flower altho its only ment to get stars from throwing foes or eggs in it! You forgot to mention those! Ohh and here is all mario related games i have: Ds: Mario bros, mario 64, mario kart, mario 3d land, yoshi island ds, yoshi island 3ds, mario and luigi inside story, mario party (the old ds version) and smash bros. Wii: Mario bros wii, mario kart, Mario and sonic at the olympic games 2012, mario galaxy, mario galaxy 2. Yahhh! I have alot of mario games, im a big fan!

The rocket flower hasn't had any sequels, so it doesn't have any evolution, unlike the boomerang flower, ice flower and so on. They ALL appeared in multiple games, not one.
