I would like a world 9. Where there are 8 regular worlds, and a 9th bonus small one. I also would like different themes for world maker. As of now it just looks like super mario world. It would be really cool if we could make the world map themes set to the super mario bros 3 format, and wii u format, and 3d world format. Possibly its Final Update in General; I can't remember when they said they'd stop doing balancing updates/bugfixes. Even so, Splatoon 2 has at least two things that everyone from the ORIGINAL game had been clamoring to have for YEARS: the ability to play as Octolings (you just have to buy the Octo Expansion and go through it once to unlock that), AND the ability to play in Splatfest Mode in multiplayer - with the addition of every Shifty Station stage ALSO being available (though only in that mode). :D That's not even mentioning the oodles of NEW stuff that they added to Splatoon 2 over the years, too: new Main, Sub, and Special weapons, new - and returning old - stages, et cetera. :D I don't really know what else they could possibly add to it, really.

Arlo, with all due respect, I think you’re wrong. SMM2 doesn’t need to be a bigger deal than it is, it doesn’t need to have another renaissance in which everyone makes videos on KZbin and it doesn’t need to have major updates every three months to be a great game. SMM2 is already the best level creation game ever made. It already is a very big upgrade upon its predecessor. It already is a game with infinite possibilities. They don’t need to chase KZbin trends in order to make the game better.

I believe there are 2 major reasons why SMM2 had this reaction: 1 - The number of new games coming in the following month. 2 - We live in an age where games are consumed and released very quickly, even with content for months, we do a overdose early on and get bored early too: soon we find other game to replace it. Inevitably the same thing will happen with ACNH, even though he forces us to do everything little by little.

The reason why is because there’s no end to the game. You can still talk to villagers and customize your homes and everything else.

Animal crossing is not a new genre lol. You can definitely tell who only plays nintendo games. There are plenty of sims type games out there and games in general with replay value that arent even sims. League of legends cs go hearthstone are all games that people eventually come back to. That being said i do agree with op that the vast majority gets bored and moves on. It becomes more apparent when you look at trophies and see just how many people dont do everything in a game. That being said though animal crossing does have a dedicated fanbase so it will never truly die but there wont be the same number of people who played it at launch.

This update excites me so much. I’ve always wanted to make my own worlds since the first Mario Maker. In that game, I made a bunch of Contra inspired levels, so now I can remake them all and put them into one world. This is truly amazing and I’m very excited to make these levels again!

Trust me - this will be massive. All of my (adult) sons are level-design crazy, and their friends too. I don't have a Switch, but this makes me want one! Also, remember that a swift kick in the head will discourage even the meanest hound. You have mass and strength on your side. You need to be assertive around stray dogs or they sense it.

2:02 To answer your question, the Power Balloon was indeed a power up in Super Mario World (albeit a very rare one that was used infrequently), so it makes sense that it's only being added to that gamestyle. However, based on what I can tell from the trailer, it looks like it works a bit differently from the original SNES game, and Mario looks a bit different when using it too. Great video as always!

Chris Longden one of my favorite games I’ve played ever. It’s an indie platformer and it was nominated for game of the year in 2018. The physics feel fluid and satisfying so you feel like when you die it is your fault not the games. And you probably are going to die a lot because this game is challenging but you get very frequent checkpoints and respawn nearly instantaneously.

Not here, that would make it perfect. - A beach, mountain, fortress or painted and volcano theme - A theme mixer (to combine BG, tileset and misic) and more music freedom -pinguin suit in NSMBU and ice flower in all styles

There is an idea that seems to be missed with this update. Although it's a Mario game they added the master sword power letting you play as link. With this update they are allowing players to make their own words. Both of those combined essentially gives players to make their own Zelda game. Yes it's not a true Zelda maker and is beholden to Mario's universe but look at Links Awakening. Plenty of Mario enemies and characters are in those games. Just think about it. It's essentially a 2d side scroller Zelda maker as well as Mario Maker.

"Is this the best thing ever???" Um, YEAH! I love MM2, I never had a Wii U and so never played MM1, but now I have a switch, and I wish I had the imaginitive energy to make more levels. I do think that the random nature of playing levels does grate on me and so I do think that having whole worlds to play will revitilies the experience for me... I think creating a world will also take the pressure off of having to create "one great level" and I can just create a couple of good levels that add together into something better. I do worry that there is a world limit, and that that limit is 8 worlds per person, per account, not because I want to make a 16 world game, but I might like to make 2 2 world games, or maybe just a few 1 world games.

Ive got the same mentality. I had the 3ds version of MM and bc I couldnt post levels I didnt really go online as much. I made 8 four level worlds with at least one great level in each. But now in MM2 I kinda lost my creativity cause the levels I made didnt get many plays, and the ones that were always at the top were the same idea over and over again. Honestly that drained me and made me not want to play. But with world builder I could make stuff and then later post them, the question is if the world maker levels will ever get played by people or if they will be ignored If youd like to see what Ive already made in the game just ask me for my maker code

When I got Super Mario Maker 2, I started to number my courses. Mushroom Gorge [1-1], Pirahna Caverns [1-2], etc. Now I don't have to do that, because I'll just put them in a Super World. This has definitely pushed SMM2 up my favourite Switch games list.
