Uncle Shigi looks so genuinely happy. It honestly almost brought me to tears seeing how happy and proud he was and how he refers to himself as "Mario's dad". Just imagine you came up with some silly characters in a video game and many years later you're looking at an entire theme park based on your creation. I came up with some silly characters myself, and I can only say so much about the joy it gives me to bring my creation to life, even in a simple doodle. Just imagine the immense happiness in this man's heart, then... :')

If you think about how life in japan as a boy influenced the games he made, like the forest and caves he explored that are the basis for links adventures or the chain chomp that was inspired by a barking dog on a chain. He spent a big part of his life creating worlds players fell in love with and now, a world he created has a physical representation. I can't even fathom what he feels but I can imagine proud and ecstatic being something that's close to that feeling
