+ReDntheli One time in a legend of Spyro game, I didn't notice the path I needed to push a stone ball and found a slight gap beween stones next to a ramp like stone. I spent over an hour bashing the ball there and eventually got it over. XD

Take it from a kid (and adult) who always used to go the long way...it's awful and usually takes upwards of half an hour or more. To this day it's my least favorite shine to get, even more so than the final shine (with the boat and final boss)

You missed my favorite: If you put the camera in first-person view and spin it around you can manipulate the angle of the cutscene that plays when Mario collects a shine. Mario will do a little spin, flip the shine around in a big circle, and display it to someone who is off-screen and to the left instead of looking at the camera. The easiest way to do it is to get beneath a shine that's descending, which will happen after beating some bosses. With practice, you can also side-jump into a shine, immediately switch views, and flip the camera around as much as possible before landing. The cutscene will trigger as soon as you hit the ground.
