Fun fact this boss is a reference to a section in the book "The Shining" that talks about seeing a paper thing manta shaped thing that moved like a shadow and split into smaller parts until dissapearing in a puff of smoke.

And he evolves because in splatoon's world regular ink would just slow you down with some small damage and won't launch you around, so he figures that using small, fast mantas won't work, so he coughs up different kinds of sub weapons instead, which *can* kill you even quicker if you aren't careful

Some helpful advice: Clean up ALL the electric paint on the ground FIRST before speaking to the manager Pianta; you have a better chance at beating the thing when the area is clean at the beginning of the fight.

The Hover Nozzle is the best choice for splitting the mantas. Tornado Squirt (Rotate and Squirt) is the best choice when they're ALL AFTER YOU.

Thank you for sharing this with us! It's been such a long time since I watched or played Super Mario Sunshine. I kind of feel sad that there isn't a Sunshine 2 or that Nintendo got rid of the "Sunshine" idea completely. This was the greatest Mario for me.. i honestly have to say the first 30 shine sprites you get are pretty easy then they become crazily hard, and then when you get to about 50-60 every level you go on requires alot of precision, especially the levels where shadow mario takes away flood
