Oddly the first time I saw this battle, was at a friend's house (I didn't have an SNES yet, this game convinced me I needed one), and he taped himself beating the game on a VHS. I'll never forget the scaling effects when Bowser would fly off, then back onscreen, I had never seen a console do that before. There were games in arcades, like some of Namco's output at the time (Legend of Valkyrie and Phelios come to mind) that had scaling like this.

@@TheBuilderPro2024 The user is in charge of the content of Mario Maker. Nintendo is not responsible for how a user designs their levels. Mainstream games are different. Take new new 2-D Mario games, which I was referring to... The old Super Mario World games with some Koopaling battles are won by knocking a them in to the lava or they wind up in the lava when they are defeated. The new Super Mario games are won by stomping on them 3 times and temporarily knock them out and then they come to and jump off screen. Even though there are some scenes that are questionable, their goals in E rated games tend to reduce the carnage, mainly with consequential death scenes because being knock into the lava when you look back at it is death and at the same time, when the next game comes out, it don't make any sense that the Koopalings are the antagonists again because well, didn't some of them get knocked into lava in the last adventure? How are they still alive for the next adventures?

I used to make this a lot harder than it had to be when I was a kid. I had no idea you could kick an enemy upward and hit Bowser. I used to do it the hard way, by getting a cape, grabbing an enemy, flying up over Bowser and dropping it down on him from above. And that was extremely difficult, but I managed to finally beat him after numerous tries. When I discovered that you only had to kick an enemy upward, I was pissed.
