I remember when my cousins and my aunt and uncle came over for the night, I was sleeping in my room then I woke up hearing my family chanting and yelling from our game room that we had. It was in the middle of the night and nobody was asleep, apparently I walked in seeing them play Super Mario World and attempting to defeat Bowser. I sat right next to my dad on the floor and my oldest cousin was playing. Everybody was like, "JUMP! JUST JUMP!" "DAMMIT YOU MISSED!" "GET AWAY FROM HIM!" "HOW THE HELL DID YOU LOSE!?" xD I was 5 at the time.

+Angela Mona Aaaaw, that's so nice. I have memories with video game classics, but I'm not from the 90s. My family had a game room with banjo-kazooie and an n64, acing games, that boxing game. My mom also had punchout for NES and she had super mario bros/duck hunt. My mom and her friends would be in there playing along to banjo kazooie, and mario, and crap like that. Sometimes we couldn't play because it as past our bed time.

Yeah Jay, I was never much of a gamer as a kid, but I did LOVE this game...for some reason it was so fun to play. I guess it was because it seemed so advanced at the time, considering we all spent 4 or 5 years playing the NES before the SNES came out. I was 13 years old when I played this game back in 93'...good memories.

I remember a long time ago, when I was something like 5, me and my dad were at the final castle of Super Mario World. We didn't have a SNES at the time, nor did we get virtual console, so we stuck with emulators. Anyways, We would always run out of time because of the stupid castle doors. I know the doors are spread out, but I remember them being next to eachother, and if you gotten through the wrong doors, back to the beginning. IK it's not like that in the game, it's just what I remember.

I love how the player is so nonchalant. I remember as a kid I would run back and forth and wildly throw those things up at Bowser and miss terribly sometimes. I'd try and stand in between the fire. lol. Fun memories of being an inexperienced gamer.

if you beat the Valley Fortress(one of the hardest levels in the game!!) you go to the Back Door of Bowser's Castle, which takes you straight to the part before the Bowser fight. and has a checkpoint.

Ok I was a Genesis kid back then, but I eventually got a used Snes with this game. I used the previous players save and only played this part. The final boss with Boswer. I did not play all the way through it till.........NOW!! Today!! I literally beat it just now!! Some 24 years later. As much as I loved my Sega then, this is why the Snes was SO amazing and why Ive never been a silly ! console fanboy. I love good games on ANY system . Amazing game , amazing console.

roboangel777,you have to find the secret exits. if you manage to get the secret exit in chocolate island 2,you can warp directly to Wendy's castle. in forest of illusion,you also have to find the secret exits. there are a lot of secret exits in forest of illusion so it isn't too hard

@beastlycharizard13 Technically speaking the ones in this game and SMB3 were the Koopa cousins, Larry, Iggy, Wendy and I forget the rest ha!. The ones in thoes games I believe are the "Koopa kid/kids" which MIGHT!! Big might there! Have started in Mario Party? They split into Koopa kids Red, Green, and Blue.. But the could join together to get a normal shell/hair color.
