If I was you 1) Change it to the normal seat which is thin at the back which would look way sleeker..😜 2) Not yet seen anybody do it but I would lower the whole headlight along with the cowl to give it more Slouch down look . Imo it looks mean... Just some opinions. What do you think buddy

Damn I have exactly those things in mind mate! I had the basic seats, then swapped with a friends touring seats. Now I would want them back lol! Moving the headlock down is going to be a sick move!! I was even thinking of having a smaller headlight, for that meaner look. Yeah will try everything with this one 🙌😬

Did not have to lengthen the cables, just re routed the stock cables under the tank. Wow Celestial blue is a great color, and with solo seats and finisher it’ll look great. Drop your Instagram would love to check out the pics 🙌

Suspension is stock bro, mine broke sometime back replaced with stock under warranty. Mudguard I’ve adjusted with LCB tail tidy.

This looks awesome bro! ❤ I do have one question though. Do you miss the windshield on long rides? I have an Astral black model and have never tried any windshield on it. I was just curious whether a windshield dramatically impacts the ride quality on highways or I can give it a pass.

Thanks so much bro! 🙌 both RE and Carbon racing windshield is useless if your height is above 5.10. It won’t help with ride quality in fact will make it worse with all the wind hitting your head / helmet. That’s one of the reasons I got rid of them. With the SM, we have a natural upright riding position, so if you’re taller than 5.10 you need a really large windshield to have any impact. I think Alchemist Biking Solutions makes one, like the big ole Harleys. Maybe that’ll help. All the best bro and ride safe! 👊

Hey thanks for commenting. I’ve felt no difference in wind drag or buffeting with or without the cowl. Doesn’t make any difference. The cowl weighs 3 kgs, RE windshield weighs 1.5 kgs. Hope this was helpful, please do subscribe!! ☺️

I see so many videos of SM650 owners trying to make it look like a harley... Why dont they understand that it is NOT a harley. RE has ots own equally rich legacy. I have done only 2 mods on my SM, fog lamps to compensatw for the pathetic headlight that it comes with and adding the sissy bar and that too just cos of the lack of better back rests.. that is it!

I agree mate. I have in fact added the Harley comparison in the video too. RE has its own legacy and charm. But it’s not always bad to add a thing or two that is “inspired” by Harley design. Even if you look at the stock Super Meteor top model with windshield, it does take a leaf out of the Harleys heritage. The comparison is natural because the two brands are very close to each other in terms of the products they offer. But yes, totally converting an RE into a Harley looks wise AND brazenly calling it better than Harley is a little amusing.
