At the beginning, he said he was going to put the red light on the starboard side. I’m glad he caught the error and put it on the port side where it belongs.

Don't like this type of content then flip to what you do like.No disrespect to you Catman! Awesome content as usual!

Nice! I commented on that one a few days ago. Your vids are no fluff and quality content. I can't watch many hunt videos because of all the product placement and narcissism. Keep it real Catman. Wishin you quality rut hunting from NC

Pretty much copying the lighting set up for my sportspal. Only difference im switching up my trolling motor for a 2.3h.p motor. Only because longer trips on the water. Thanks for the vid

Ok I didnt even think that I'd have to register the canoe...is that required?
@nathanzeigler68524 жыл бұрын
Check your local laws. But generally if you add a motor to it, you have to register it. Each state is different though.

The juice in that battery is gonna be gone quick,how do you recharge it while you're out?
@CatmanOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
A 29DC battery from Walmart will last several days with that setup if you’re not running the trolling motor all the time. The LEDs barely use a trickle.

@thehuntingparadox22914 жыл бұрын
I have watched this video several times. Wanting to do something similar. You just running a car battery? Have you had it die on you yet? I'm wondering how long the battery would last cause there are some lake grounds I want to hunt/fish this year and I may need to go an hour or 2 each way or so. Thanks.
@ngeezer3 жыл бұрын
Get a deep cycle battery. Not a starting battery. Gives you longer running times.
@412Angler4 жыл бұрын
Pretty sweet , how’s the stability with that ?
@vieuxacadian94552 жыл бұрын
fyi , before soldering the wires install a piece of heat shrink tubing or used butt crimp connectors for a cleaner job . No offense meant .

00:04-So, fast forward to 2020. Bet those lights did not work out so well for night fishing........... why.......... Bugs.! Get a telescopic extendable cheap fishing pole, mount a LED down shining light on the end of the pole. Mount perpendicular to the canoe via a pole holder and say good bye to 'light happy' bugs and hell-o to lighted, bug free personal space in the canoe. Works for me.
@CatmanOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
revolutionpm the lights really come in handy when I’m hauling deer out or tying on a bait. But yes, if the bugs are bad, the lights are off unless I need them. I can turn them on whenever I need to see what I’m doing. It’s served me very well
@oystercovecraftsman92194 жыл бұрын
I'm in the process of throwing around led lighting ideas from my canoe. I want to use it for squid fishing and floundering at night. Never thought of the bugs the lights would attract!!
