Super Monaco GP | Orchis Challenge - Be the top driver with the worst car (?)

Once again revisiting one of my favorite racing games from childhood. This is a request from user GashdakSaghzaar (please subscribe dude :D), the challenge is to win the championship with Orchis, in fact, he asked two seasons in a row, but the game forces you to go to Madonna if you're the champion, but I'm still going to study a way to do that. I really still don't know which is worse, whether it's Zeroforce or Orchis, I think the two are equivalent, but in terms of "bad" characteristics we really suffer with the Orchis on more "twisty" circuits.
So now we have both on the channel (Zeroforce and Orchis now), maybe in the future I will do the same with Comet and Rigel. Leave it in the comments if you want this or any suggestions, I will fulfill the request as far as possible.
To get started with Orchis I had to use the emulator feature that I use (there's a video on how to install it here on the channel), I always used passwords, but inexplicably the Orchis password always gave Asselin double points, so if he wins, that's 18 points and not the normal 9 points (this happens in every race). So this is just a code to start with Orchis via Game Genie/PAR, there is no modification to the ROM, no cheating, just starting the same championship with Orchis.

Thank you very much, I'm very happy to know that you saw everything in its smallest details. That is the reason why the title of the Comet's video is "the worst nightmare", because it was really hard, I had to start recording again a few times until I could fit it in. I’ve never been able to win it in that car, some podiums and occasional wins at best. On some tracks there are corners that are near impossible to take with decent speed. 4 gear system with this car might indeed have been a better choice than the 7 one. Well done

Yes, this car is very slow and struggles to gain speed, with the 4-gear system we can have the ideal reduction without losing too much speed, this helps on most circuits where it is necessary to reduce to make some corners. Muito estranho aí haha. Já tem o Ceará e ele não te desafia, então já conta como se fosse pelo menos a terceira época… mas os pilotos estão todos na equipe original. Não tem o fake Mansell na fake Ferrari como acontece na segunda época, por exemplo.

Mais uma vez obrigado pela participação! Neste caso eu eu também explico melhor a razão disto na descrição do vídeo, via password a pontuação de Asselin era dobrada, portanto a única forma de ter o Orchis foi fazer via GameGenie que é basicamente como todos fazem, foi a forma encontrada para poder tornar isso viável. Eu poderia desafiar o Orchis (e o Comet no outro vídeo) com Minarae , mas não considerei justo pontuar com Minarae e fazer o restante do campeonato com o carro em questão, seria uma vantagem injusta uma vez que Minarae é um carro muito melhor, portanto essa foi a maneira que encontrei de fazer desde o início com o mesmo carro e fazer o desafio completo e não em parte.

Uma idéia... Após bater deixa um adversário passar e pega o vácuo para aumentar a velocidade mais rápido, vale mais que ficar trancando em velocidade baixa!!

Valeu! É que na verdade esse carro é muito ruim de curva, especialmente se você não estiver pelo lado de dentro. Então o trauma de ter alguém por perto e acabar batendo (perdendo mais tempo) é tão grande que a gente acaba fechando a porta mesmo pra ter o traçado ideal pra nós. Mas sim, concordo que em muitas oportunidades pegar o vácuo pode ser mais eficaz do que ficar trancando os adversários.

Caramba... eu lembro dessa comunidade! Nunca participei dos campeonatos. Se não estou errado, acho que cada participante tinha que jogar e salvar a corrida de cada GP em vídeo e mandar pra um membro juiz organizar os tempos.

It's a shame this car is as bad as it is. It's quite simply got my favourite colour combination, which makes me so damned sad lol. I just managed to do the Zeroforce champion run myself on Twitch yesterday, but I dont know if I will do the Orchis one as the Zeroforce one was damned close as it was lol.

Wow so you are also a hero who tried this! It's really frustrating to run with Orchis... Zeroforce doesn't develop very well, but it makes up for it with slightly better handling. Orchis develops a little more, but the handling is terrible, you always need the perfect "timing" to point the car in the corners, the moment it is pointing is "slow" and you can slide until you hit a advertising board or tires. With some practice it is possible, but it requires a lot of patience. :D
