It was almost a "three stooges" feature film. A couple of pratfalls along the way made for some good laughs, but you guys got the job done to save worthwhile parts.

Had a lady offer a 46 back in the 60s. Never picked it up as no resources to make the move. Thanks for getting this one out to a place that may put it into a project phase.

As much as I appreciate coupes & ragtops when younger the sedan can be more practical as mild custom/hotrod these days so those bones look like a good start for project. Way to go guys, got to get Steve out in the sun though!

Thanks for saving all those original Ford parts. Like your other barn finds and retrievals, you work really hard to get the job done. The stainless trim around the side windows on the body indicate this Ford is a Super Deluxe.

This is the "not-so-fun" side of what you guys do , but this stuff , is where those hard to find parts are found to still exist in re-usable condition . Great save on an era of cars , that rarely still exists at all . Funny & honest , great team , & I am glad you didn't get stuck worse than that . Beating the rain , was a blessing , as I doubt it would have gone so well . They get the freed up spaces , & you get to share the pieces of American history that are rare , & far superior to aftermarket stuff , if even available at all . A lot of work , but so worth it ! Great post , ITG .

Brought tears to my eyes! Aside from the pratfalls (and Steve's jokes) that made me chuckle, it was bittersweet too for me - the first car my Dad&Mom had as a married couple (and the first car I have very dim memories of) was a used '46 Ford identical to this one. They named it "Dreamboat" as it was in that car that they courted and plotted their future. It carried me home from the hospital after I was born in '53. Pop swapped it for a '50 Ford in 1957. God, but I always wanted a '46 Ford but never did....

Crazy Installment ! Matt rolling in grass hugging fence posts, Mike almost giving himself a frontal lobotomy with a bird feeder, Steve absolutely glowing to be out in the light of day . Even telling off color stories, AND NO RYAN ! What gives? The young new guy is supposed to get the grunt work ! At least in my day it was that way 🤭👍

I used to deliver for Sears, when we had heavy tractors to deliver in a box we would just use 2 hand trucks on each end and lift and move with them. It worked surprisingly well.

The little harbor freight trailers work really good for loading bodies on. You can slide it under with a pallet or 2 on top. You can build one real easy if you have a small axle too.

Pretty amazing seeing the '47 shell's size contrasted with the 4x4. The two best sellers of their respective eras. Speaking of the olden times, I think there's a 3 Stooges automotive short with less physical comedy than this.

What an adventure! I listened to the podcast about how you acquire parts and this was a great example of how it is done. You get the good with the bad and the ugly, you get it all because that is the deal. I'll be interested in seeing what you got. I went on the first Yellowstone Rod Run with my brother in his 46 Ford Club Coupe that had a Ford small block 302 with a top-loader 4 speed. The car had aluminum floor panels with ladder bars on a Mercury rear with 4:11 gears fenderwell headers riding on classic Ansen spokes. It was a neat car and I was just 15 at the time. My favorite car you have is your dad's for obvious reasons as it takes me back to my childhood. I have a special spot for mid 40's Fords. Glad to see you saving another one as they aren't as popular as many of the earlier body styles.

You may think i am crazy, which is okay, but, Keep old plastic lunch trays in your vehicle. When you have occasion like this, they are excellent for helping slide stuff into trailers. It works. Nice haul, I was a graduate of Middle Bucks Area Vocational School. I took Auto Body , yet we shared projects with mechanic shop & built some good cars from donations from people like you. It may be something you might like to think about. Ty for taking us along

Every shop needs at least one Black snake. They keep the rodent population in check. And they leave cool skins in cluttered corners. My shop has one over 6 ft long. At least that's what the shed skins say. I've only ever seen it twice.
