I attended Good Guys Columbus (OH) for several years in the early 2,000’s. At the time I owned a 1936 Ford Tudor slantback sedan (street rod). Don’t recall the exact year but I went down and POOF! pretty much all of the sedan-style street rods were no where to be seen and had been replaced by an ocean of muscle cars. I took it as a sign and got rid of my ‘36 shortly thereafter. You just can’t turn a blind eye to the “ageing out” aspect of the hobby. Muscle cars are riding high now, but trust me, there will come a day when no one cares how cool you think your car is.

Noooooooooo. Another classic destroyed! You should have rotisserie restored it back to concours original and then sold it at a vast loss. Of course I would have bought it myself but it would have meant stopping drinking and getting out of my armchair. Frankly I am just too busy insulting people on comments boards to restore cars anyway 👍👍

These days 40 coupes can be had for 3k.... sad times, still, for those of us who love hot rods AND love the history...its a sad sight. Ive cut up a cpl cars, they were waaaaay worse and they hurt to cut up. I dont ever want to get to where it doesnt hurt a bit though

No, the prior owner destroyed the car. ITG saved the parts that were worth saving and by doing so saved an inexperienced restorer from spending way more on a car project than it was worth. If you followed this channel, you'd know how dedicated these guys are to making sure nothing valuable goes to waste.
