That red glow around the wheel arch. Fantastic. KITT was a pioneer.

Led lighting in car wheel arches didn't even become a thing until probably the early 2000s! Knightrider was well ahead of it's time!

Yeah. Super pursuit mode. Going even faster by creating more aerodynamic drag. This really is a physics breaking TV show.

More downforce?
@indrajeet8 ай бұрын
You don't know much about aerodynamics, do you? The expanding front bumper creates downward force for stability. The wing like structures that come out from each side at the front are known as "canards" and are used in fighter jets to stabilise the front further. The rear spoiler is also used for downward force.

When Super-Pursuit mode is used at night, some of the exterior and under the wheel arches glows red.

The human body is physically incapable of surviving the G-forces of these crazy speeds and turns. After a hot pursuit in this death trap Kitt may as well just eject the crumpled bones of any passengers into the sea and just f**k off.

Preheats the tires to be sticky for traction like Tesla heats the battery pack. Doubles as winter snow melter to keep tread useful
@piotrmalewski81782 жыл бұрын
@@danwat1234 The latter is a complete nonsense. The only surface that gives less traction than melting snow, is ice. When you drive on snow, you want to have it well frozen. I know what I'm saying, I've learnt to drive in snowy winters of Eastern Europe and specifically went on Sunday drives when snow removing teams didn't work to have fun and polish my skills. Especially the fresh, unsquashed snow gives pretty good traction. If only tires are quite narrow, they dig into snow, and you kind of drive in the railways.
@danwat12342 жыл бұрын
@@piotrmalewski8178 i see what you mean. Perhaps K.I.T.T. would heat the tires only when stopped and wait for the tires to dry. When snow packs into the tread it becomes nearly useless and is why chains or studs can be necessary
@guillaumegaudin6942 жыл бұрын
@@danwat1234 no actually the point of winter tires is to have snow into the treads.
@danwat12342 жыл бұрын
@@guillaumegaudin694 Loose snow, sure. But it can pack in so the snow is stuck in the tread so it becomes useless, can no longer dig/claw it just spins
