@@ericmadsen7470 No doubt about it. 80s were the golden era, 90s weren't bad at all but by the early 00s to present day it's all garbage now. All the shows are watered down, no individuality and wokeism and social media took the fun out of action shows altogether. Sometimes I watch a movie or tv show now and it looks like I am watching a computer game, so ridiculous is the CGI I just switch off completely. Hollywood doesn't have the guts to do real action stunts anymore with good original storylines and characters. That's what made all these shows great because they were unique and were written and made well. Those days are gone forever.

I always liked the scenes where Bonnie would ride shotgun. It felt like she should have always been on the passenger side to help Kitt and Michael. April was ok, but I think Bonnie was a lot better, plus she was the first technician.

That's why he chose to use the thermodynamic generator on the bikes' tires. Actually, a smart move, since the air inside a tire can change, depending on the air conditions. If the air's hot, a tire expands depending on how hot it is. If it's cold, it's vice versa because the tire contracts since it's colder. Now, the word "thermodynamic" is important, since the generator heats the air in the tires rapidly, causing them to expand at a rapid rate. Eventually, the pressure is too much and the air escapes. That loud "pop" is the sidewall of the tires rupturing, letting the air escape, and the tires go flat. Quite impressive if I may say so.

Agree Kitt needs surface to bounce off of for turbo boost but I just remembered something. One of my top 10 episodes Kittnap. When Kitt is trapped he keeps pressing turbo boost but is too boxed in. Now tb didn't work this time standing still... Hmm lol just another question to stump you guys lol

Yeah but in that episode kidnapped when Kitt was in that steel container he said he's going to try to turbo boost his way out of there then when he couldn't do it he said there's no use I can't get a running start to generate enough power to penetrate steel......... When kitt jumps over the ferret he doesn't need that much power to jump over.

KITT has jumped from standing before. He jumped out of the car compactor in "Blind Spot." It all depends on what has to be done. If KITT needs to power through an obstacle or over a large one, he needs to build speed. The ferret wasn't large, so KITT just hopped over.

Good show from the 80's. The Ferret red car is from logan's run tv series sandman ground car. For Knight rider the sandman ground car / Ferret was painted red. logan's run was a great film and good tv series cut way too short.

I was on this episode assisting my dad as a still photographer and the stuntman in the sidecar on the bike as it rolled over got hurt... He got pinned by the frame... So if you notice they have the actor come out from under the sidecar... Just another day when things go wrong on a set and they have to shoot around it...!

Yeah that looked real nasty and unplanned, but I know in the stunt business that if someone gets hurt, they usually request that shot to be put in since it’s definitely a once in a lifetime type shot that cannot be replicated. Remember that Andy samberg’s stunt double broke his back on a stunt and he insisted that it be used in the final cut

Literally came to the comments section to mention the stuntman had to have gotten hurt, I've ridden motorcycles my entire life basically, been down a few times and it was obvious that was not planned. I bet he had some real nice road rash on the palms of his hands from putting them down as it rolled. Glad to hear he survived without to major of injuries. I rewatched that section several times wondering how he fared, being half in the sidecar as it rolled over him face first I can't imagine it would have been good for his back.

There are plenty of such errors in the show when Micheal presses buttons that don't exist there but filmmakers make it look as if he actually pressed something. I think it might be due to the fact that during the show they had multiple KITTs and the consoles could vary from car to car.
