In this episode of Coin Quest, we are coin roll hunting through our final $25 box of pennies in search of interesting and valuable coins to fill up our American and Canadian penny collections. We find two coins that I have been hunting for a really long time! One is a rare old Canadian penny, and the other is a more modern coin that I have been struggling to find for over a year. Cheers to the last of the pennies.. sad face. I jus startd 2 weeks ago. Bought $100 worth. Went thru my dads. Which was around $120 worth. Bought an album last monday. And with my coins ive collectd the past 10yrs. And what i found in roll hunts.. i hav a good filld out book. U got me back into the search. I was about to sell all my coin stuff. Til i found ur series. So thank u. Haha. Ur hardest was the 2009 D Presidential. Mine is the 1991 Plain. 72 S. Which ive finally found. And the hardest one im struggling on still. The lowest in that purchased bag is some late 1920s as well. I haven't bothered to look at mint run sizes. All I know is the bulk bag is probably worth more than I paid for it so no regrets. They are discontinued and can only go up in value.

I'm not sure but if you look closer to the D on the Lincoln coin the one you were excited about it looks like a double like they put D over an s that's what it kind of looks like on the video when the light hit it just right it look like there was an S there as well

My friend gave me a 2009d satin finish set of 4 ogp. He knew I collect, and his aunt worked at the bank. I haven't even seen a image on the net of the Lincoln history flip with cents I have. Good luck too you.

It's quiet the opposite here, all I see are 2009's. Canadians are harder to find, usually 4-5 per box. Can someone have too many '09's w/o being greedy? Or should I put some back into circulation hoping another CRH'er finds it? I see few Canadian.

You should look for common error varieties like the 1984 dbl ear, 1997 dbl ear, or 1999 wide am and such

As a Canadian I am fortunate enough to almost complete my 1 cent Canada coins from 1858 to 2012,, the 1936 dot, well, that one is impossible to find and is indeed a jack pot if you see a dot under the date 1936

You're right, they are much harder to find than the scoring system might lead you to believe. You would have much better luck finding them in a hand wrapped roll though- it seems like a lot of coin machines are culling them out.
