I also read that there's another double die error FS-1102 slash on Lincolns neck in front of his adams apple. I'm curious about that error. I haven't seen many talk about it, and I have a 1909 vdb coin with that error, but I'm new to coin collecting/selling.

Last Summer I was out metal detecting along the sidewalk by a elementary school and found a 1909 penny but it doesn't have the VDB

I have a 1909 penny...that weights 2.6 grams....how much would it be worth?

I've seen a few video's, that they said the VDB initials were removed from the penny. It wasn't really removed, it was put on the base or cutoff on the arm in letters about 1/64 of an inch.

If I'm not mistaken I believe that the 1909 is the one and only penny that has those initials on the reverse. Some do, some don't. The one that does is worth just a tiny bit more then the other, though both aren'tt too hard to come by. After that one year I'm pretty sure they did remove the initials. They removed the initials entirely until 1918. That was the first year they reintroduced the initials to the obverse side, on the bottom left side of Lincoln's bust. I do hope someone can correct me if I'm wrong though.
