The Town: Coroner, Investigator, Lookout, Psychic, Seer, Sheriff, Spy, Tracker, Deputy, Trickster, Veteran, Vigilante, Jailor, Mayor, Monarch, Prosecutor, Bodyguard, Cleric, Crusader, Trapper, Admirer and Amnesiac
The Neutral Apocalypse: Baker, Famine, Berserker, War, Plaguebearer, Pestilence, Soul Collector and Death
Neutral Evil: Executioner, Jester, Doomsayer, Pirate
Neutral Killing: Arsonist, Serial Killer, Shroud and Werewolf

Being able to reconnect means you can leave on stand and hope people inno to get a different lynch and then reconnect

If I had to guess meta is going to shift to guilty these players, that or a change to the leaver buster for leaving while on stand.

A good fix is to not show they disconnected for thirty seconds

I mean most of the times dcing while on stand was just scummy since town pretty much gets another lynch, now if people start to hang dc players it won't happen anymore

I wonder if it's possible they could make it so that people who deliberately leave cannot rejoin the game (because why would they?) - only players who got disconnected due to connection hiccups or outages are able to reconnect? I got booted out of like two Jailor games because of those hiccups DX and it sucks for both me and town it happened like that

The easy solution to any and every "disconnected or left the game" problem" has always been that BMG should just eliminate the ability to see a players connection status while alive in the game... Save that info for anyone in dead chat that wants to know. I've always hated how there'd be 2 sus evils, one gets voted up, they leave the game, and then town gets to inno for a free second lynch on the other guy. If they just made it so disconnected players appear as AFK townies still in the game, it eliminates that disadvantage evils have. And now that you can reconnect before 30 seconds, players will leave while on the stand, get inno'd down, then re-join. Getting rid of their connection status to live players would also eliminate this problem...

as mentioned in another comment, this new feature actually helps in removing the "second lynch" meta due to town having to hang dcd players in case they reconnect and thus survive.

I was thinking about it, and I think there’s a way to fix Trickster. Go back to three uses of taunt Give Trickster basic defense against only the attack they trigger Have the Trickster counterattack with the same strength attack that the attacker would have had. This would make the Trickster able to kill CK that aren’t the coven leader without dying, but it also protects Shroud, defensive CL, and SK without Bloodlust. Also, the Trickster shouldn’t get any notification if they trick a player and they have defense against their own attack. That makes it so the Trickster can kill certain roles without dying, but others roles aren’t completely ruined by a random skilless trick.

I think it would be fine for a Trickster to know if the trick worked as it wouldn't be "confirmed" since trickster wouldn't die anymore. It would be like a vigi saying someone's immune, it's not always 100% trustable

imo you shouldn't get a notification when people leave during the day, but maybe that's just because I've lost to many games where the town thought was last evil left so they hanged me "just to be safe" when I shoulda won.

There's no "right" way to do reconnecting mid-game. They could make it 2+ minutes and the potential for abuse would be the same. You either leave and rejoin during a day/night transition to abuse people thinking you're gone for the match, or you're "alive" until you die/rejoin one way or another.

​@@superl8296 That is true. I mean as it is right now, disconnects are a tactic for the alive people. Someone leaves and then they get innoed and now someone else can get lynched. So leaving as an evil of a faction while being sussed just ruins your team's chances. If it is made to where people assume disconnects are still alive(since disconnected players can be targeted as well), then this won't matter as much. Just always assume a disconnect will reconnect.

iirc the first game was literally game theory from what I‘ve heard. There is 3 people in town, 2 of them can kill and 1 is currently useless, the two most dangerous will eliminate each other. If soul collector turned it will be announced and pipe would've been lynched and drawn.

So new transitional meta, leave when you get voted up then reconnect. However if/when it becomes a thing people will learn to lynch the leaver regardless ruining that meta and fixing the problem of evils quitting hurting other evils.

Had the funniest SC game today. Was SC and was going to try as vet. Was gonna claim D3. Got witched N2 so I was like man the gig is up and just didn’t claim anything. Coven killed everyone with a final day of 3v1v1. Other town was goated and they lost the 50/50 cuz he didn’t say anything either. Ended up winning by not talking.

I had a game the other day where the shroud & the last living coven game threw. It's the last day of the game, The only people still alive are a TK[semi-confirmed], 1 Coven, 1 Shroud still trying to claim LO even though he's been outed cause he didn't understand the mechanics of the shroud, a Psychic[me] who was confirmed very early in the game & 1 soul collector turned death. A bit of chatting happens before voting starts & during that chat the player who is death gets outed. Psy votes the death, death votes the Psy[naturally], Shroud stupidly votes the confirmed Psy, Coven stupidly votes the confirmed Psy and I get upped. I try to tell them they are game throwing cause death had outed himself & cause I was confirmed & they all knew it but what does everyone do?? They chose to game throw & guilty. My final words. "GG death wins, you idiots legit game threw" & game ends with NA wining. "Wait how did we loose that?" says 1 of the 2 people who who game threw by voting the confirmed psy instead of voting the confirmed death. I just don't get how some people can be so stupid.
