Simply put in a newbie HDL / hardware developer who’s been following your channel since bga is out of my Field atm - sure I can smd solder fpga chips no worries by hand but never invested in a hot air rework station just yet so learning from your videos for that day you know :) . Ok so on the topic of bad phone repair places , I’ve had success story - broke my iPhone 6 screen so bad i couldn’t type my passcode or see shit lines everywhere so probably shorting or cable loose or whatever but it was fucked and got a friend to give me a new screen he had found off a phone left at a festival but since I know it would be my first time inside a IPhone 6 I really needed my data and use of the phone this week I couldn’t risk breaking connectors or whatever this time so I popped into a local store with the screen and my broken iPhone 6 ! The guy only charged 20 to replace my screen and tempered screen protector plus a new case ! Amazing not only did he not rip me off but tempered screen protectors cost 10 here typically but so do cases etc you get it this was a genuine guy replacing my screen and respectfully didn’t rip me off . I accept I could of replaced this myself since I had the part but you know when you have an accident familiarise yourself it’s better left to someone like yourself who does this every day. Since that day he’s even sold me parts such as a micro usb connector for my sons Samsung tablet for 2 gbp which is reasonable since I didn’t have time to get this shipped from eBay I needed it right now and heck I used a paint stripper heat gun to replace that part myself - I won’t be doing BGA with a constant 330 degree c though as I expect I would damage shit like that haha . Anyway without fail the tablet is charging fine. I’m now exploring my confidence levels with the paint stripper and found I can even take off Smt memory modules without damaging them , has my addiction began ? Lol !!! Hope so :)

Totally agree, they do the same thing here in Algeria , that's why I decided to learn electronics I'd rather break my phone myself learning than to handle it to bunch of thieves . Your videos are of great help .

Car mechanics can be like this too. The quick oil change places are known for their deception even charging people for services not done. And garages at auto dealerships are known for their outrageous prices. Trustworthy small business are worth our repeat business.

Just to let you know, I think it is possible to get genuine Apple parts, but only if you buy them in bulk directly from the Chinese factory. This is how Louis Rossmann gets his some of his parts. However, of course, Apple really does not like this, so they work together with the countries to destroy those "counterfeit" articles

I bought from eBay a gtx titan black broken, it boot ok but with artifacks and I thought maybe is a memory relate so when I touch the memory chips from the back of the card that it was running, one of the memory chips the first one from the left side was soooo hot that you couldn’t even touch it, but the other chips was cool. So my question is this, can you fix it for me? I will pay you and make a good video out of it! Thanks again keep up the videos!!!!

Does it matter? The shop should never do that and the customer, our guy was just trying to prove a point. If the case was that the customer had no clue why the phone wasn't working and that were the problems I can see that he took some time of the technicians and make them busy, that has a price, but still it is not more than 20 USD, not 120.
