That was one of the cool things that set GoShogun apart from the rest of the units in @3. one of the few units that has a really good cut in.

Actually, I like how GoShogun seems to land the brunt of its attacks as the intro to 'Goshogun Hasshin Seyo! ends with the shout of "Zero!" as in "this is how much HP you're gonna have." The series that really has that problem is Brain Powered.

I think it's because this is the Banpresto demonstration for each character. THere is a website you can see most of the characters edited just like this. They're always pulverizing the opposition.

Goshogun is definately strong enough to be a decent leader if you like goshogun, but as strong as he is, he's just outshined by all the other great supers in this game.

Check out the dodge at 1:38 - not just *dodge* but *dodgedodgedodgedodge*. And the Space Bazooka ("spACE baZOOka!") is awesome... But best of all: a cut-in. Finally.

Aw, c'mon. Some of us actually like GoShogun. Is it just me or does Remy seem like something of an inspiration for Excellen, especially in the way she talks?

@valnavat2nd I know in terms of damage output, Goshogun was the only unit in SRW: FF that could deal more damage than the Ideon Gun/Sword. Although the bonus Ideon gets when it becomes invoked makes it the most damaging unit by a longshot.

Goshogun is fiercely underrated. It could beat robots like voltes and raideen in a heartbeat.

Yeah, Goshougun made a pretty good Squadmate for Shin Getter I found, but sadly I mostly used it to get another "Take another Turn" Seishin (Er, Awaken?) Had some good attacks though, even if I did tend to forget it existed. Poor Gaiking and Jeeg got about the same treatment I'm afraid

Think of it this way: the old ones are the ones that survived the test of time. Also, the old ones are actually still very popular all over the world, just not here in the US. So, I guess you're not alone in your distaste in them. Still, please refrain from calling them 'old crap' as they are still some of the most venerated series of all times.

Can anyone please, please translate any of the conversations the Goshogun characters have with each other when they're in battle? I can't think of any of series that have pilots banter and joke with each other in the middle of battle, which is why I love Goshogun so much. But it drives me crazy that I've never been able to find a translation for their battle quotes!

how is the go shogun stat in this game? I remember in the older game as SRW F and FF, regardless of having all attack are range, the pilot actually has a higher skill in melee, which totally messes it up.

Yeah I'm the same. I don't think I launched it a single time...but I do admit that its attacks are some of the best looking in the game. Its probably to make up for the fact no one likes it..lol
