Chiefs scrum has been poor for a few weeks now and as good as the young buck did at 10 his kicking game was quite poor. Chiefs will bounce back. But I agree, they don't look the same without DMac.

If you watch the full 80 there was actually solid defensive episodes from both teams; 13 phases, 16 phases, so on. Teams got tired resulting in most of these tries. They play at such high speeds.

Any defence is going to be beaten now and then by good tactics, fast play, individual brilliance etc, and tiredness from facing relentlessly attacking rugby. This was an excellent game to watch for both attack and defence.

I love when the commentary said you can't defend a lead like you are playing rugby 7s . That is the problem with NZ rugby . Great entertainment chucking the ball around like a hot potato but lacking the nuts and bolts and change , which is why South Africa knows how to be champions .
