look i personally overall do not like god-ki because it feels weird why not go back to ss3 (dont give me the ki stuff since if they mastered ssb they can maintain ss3 because ssb had the same problem) but yea im more of a ss3/4 fan because i do like the saiyan roots better.

While I agree that SSB is a bit overhated but i don't blame the fans when the form gets slapped around non-stop. It would've been more welcomed if they BUILD up to that form instead of overshadowing SSG.

The form was horribly misused. The only time I liked it was in the Broly Movie and that was because of Gogeta fusion. Almost every other time however, it was a joke to the point were Vegito Blue couldn't beat Zamasu due to retconning Potaras. I just don't care for SSB.

@@mariokarthero1997 like I said, it is abit overhated but it is warranted. Every major fight Blue was in, it got embarrassed horribly. Golden Frizea (many times), Hit, Bergamo, Zamasu/Goku Black (made a bit of sense but still), Broly, Jiren, and so on. They marked it as the ultimate power for the time being but still, how is it "superior" to God when it loses so much. The best use of both was in the manga version of the Goku Black arc when they constantly swapped between forms to catch Zamasu and Goku Black off guard.

i agree. Now, when Frieza showed up with new forms & Goku Black was introduced, it made sense as both villains made it believable that they matched those forms. Broly was always going to be a powerhouse, so no complaints there, but after that? It felt like the form was just for show.

@@mariokarthero1997 i only liked it on the fusions in general, outside of that it never really felt powerful all that often to me, this was especially saddening since there was nothing above it at the time. Like if you think of ssj being weak in the buu arc, it makes sense because ssj2 and 3. But when blue was "in its prime" it managed to be the strongest form available by far, and yet not feel powerful at all imo

It's BS honestly. Goku and Vegeta went through sooo much to achieve that power to use God ki. Then suddenly 17 is randomly able to match it with no trouble. And Frieza defeats it after a few months of training. And all the random characters from other universes that are not gods or use God ki can also rival it

I think the main thing wrong with SSB is the anime's presentation of it. In the manga, there is less instances of it being used so lightly (such as against Krillin, Andriod 17, or Toppo). SSB never stood a chance in the DBS anime. It was introduced in a recap arc that also happened to be the worst animated arc in the franchise, and the form does not undergo development like it does in the manga with Perfected SSB.

The Blue form is my favorite form but the anime overused it. Hope in future Anime Dragon Ball Super Arcs They would redeem it, Because i think The broly movie did it already the Shintani design of Blue was Fire The manga version was far better. I prefer how God looks but I really dig blue in Shintani’s style (DBS Broly animation style). The blue hair color is improved and the aura is amazing and Sparking Zero tries to replicate it which gives me hope that once Super comes back, they change the aura and color palette to that.

That's another anime problem. SSB appears light blue in the anime at certain parts. They dont really settle on the dark blue color until the ToP and Broly movie. I think the manga's dark blue color is visually appealing, but I agree that the light blue color that RoF and the DBS anime went with looked very weird.

The one reason I say Blue is definitely that normal fifty times multiplier because Tori states that Goku and Vegeta are already Gods(SSG) in their base form. So taking that into consideration, SSG isn't supposed to be a power up in the same way SSJ is, because that is their natural state like how Gohan and Goku mastered SSJ in the Cell Saga. God IS them, just them releasing God ki instead of their normal "Saiyan" ki. With that in mind, SSB is considered a God going SSJ...so it is only natural for Tori to have assumed it would be that same 50x multiplier.

I honestly like the super sayian blue form a lot design wise. It just feels like it was introduced way to early and I felt like they should have unlocked it in a later arc like goku black arc. Maybe during goku’s rage moment he should have gotten it or vegeta when he trained in the time chamber to get stronger.

It would have been a lot more impactful if Goku Black was the first one to tap into "SSB" through it, through Rose, because he naturally is born with God ki. Then it could have surprised Goku & Vegeta that it was possible to go Super Saiyan through it, and we could have seen them actually earn it.

​@@GeteMachine That sir, is EXACTLY how it should've went. Goku n Vegeta should've been training in SSG thinking this was the pinnacle of their power. (Defeating Golden Frieza and Hit with just SSG) SS Rosè demonstrated by Goku Black by doing it in reverse should have instigated them trying to stack SSJ on top on SSG base. Then SSB would've been such a sick new transformation. They fumbled this badly. I'm sure most of us fans would've written it this way.

The fact that the blue form is stuck at the SSJ1 level is not enough. But before they can make a SSB2 or 3 variations the Ego/UI took it away from them.

I wouldn’t say UI or Ego took it away, it was when Goku first used SSJB Kaioken times TEN. Super Saiyan 3 is a 8 times multiplier from regular Super Saiyan, which SSJB3 would be a big downgrade in terms of power from SSJBKX20.

3:30 I'm not a big fan of Super but I did some research on the SSJGod lore and it actually makes a lot of sense. I think Blue is unique and inspiring especially because it is the exact opposite of what the space mercenary saiyans were all about .. instead of outrage and domination Blue is powered by inner temperament and heightened self awareness. Therefore, Blue symbolizes Goku and Vegeta transcending the trauma and narratives of their past at the highest level; something that dying several times before didn't even allow them to do.

I’m very sorry but if we’re going by the logic that Base God Ki infused Gogeta is casually stronger than SSB Kaioken x20 Goku and SSB Evolved Vegeta or even just stronger than just SSB Goku and Vegeta then Vegito should’ve victimized Fused Zamasu with debatably Base and no more than Super Saiyan.

I think if SSB was more linked to Goku and the Kamehameha lore-wise, it would have been more thematically sound. Kind of like how SSG looked like Kaioken. Unless that was the intention all along? That might mean Vegeta wouldn’t have access to SSB but something similar? It wouldn’t explain how the saiyans have access to god ki level multipliers for the powerscaling fans. A lot of potential but I think the writers rushed it.

Love this video you made scholar. I still miss the days of Z & GT where power was not the only thing every character cared about, it was about technique and mastering your abilities to its zenith. Now I am not saying I don’t like SS Blue or any of the god forms Goku and Vegeta has gained but I feel they need to go back to their Saiyan roots like how Gohan’s beast form reminds of SS4 just like broly’s Ikari state. The two most powerful saiyans need to return to their primal roots to achieve power beyond the gods, like how Jiren uses raw power to go toe to toe or surpass G.O.D’S. Or even Frieza using the training methods similar to that of Goku’s way of achieving power that can be equal to G.O.D.

I don't think it's hated. IT's right where it should be. The least interesting of the bunch. Even if it is the strongest of the SS transformations, if you don't think of SSBE as a new thing. SS1: The most iconic as a form itself. SS2: Loved mainly for Gohan, because it's not the form itself that's iconic like SS1 with all of SS1's build up and in universe lore being thrown around, it's Gohan that's the bulk of what makes people remember it so much. SS3: Just a really cool power up that provides the most unique visual change in Z, and second most unique if you want to argue that SS4 is more unique in appearance. I'd say 50/50. SS4: Arguably the most unique in terms of appearance, and lore wise it's the most creative in mixing the lore of Oozaru with SS. SSG: Had some build up to it, and the aura being like literal fire was unique. UI: A unique idea on martial arts philosophy. UI Sign I like better in appearance, since it's mainly a technique, and less of a literal transformation of the body the way the SS forms are. Plus, it had some build up throughout Super. SSb: It's literally just SS1 mixed with SSG. It had very little build up, if not none at all. And it was just kind of slapped on for no reason other than to provide a boost to keep Goku and Vegeta on par with their enemies. It just doesn't look as unique as the others bar SS1 and 2, since it's just SS1 and 2 is just a small change to SS1 in appearance, and it lacks the philosophy behind UI and the lore of SS4 and unique change that SS4 and 3 have. SSB isn't so much hated. It's treated as what it is. A simple boost. Most people I've seen outside of a small subset of decently popular and not so popular youtubers spread the idea that it's hated, and some of their fans parrot it. It's not hated. It's treated as what it is. The worst of the forms, but an understandable thing. SSB to me, is like what Kaioken was in Z up until the Frieza saga. The thing they use to keep up with their enemies till they need something else. Because if it was hated, I wouldn't see so many people cosplay it on the internet, or use profile pictures. And you wouldn't see it be included as a necessary thing in most Dragon Ball games these days. You wouldn't see so many people flip their shit at seeing a new Vegito Blue or a Gogeta Blue in Dokkan Battle or Legends. People don't love it. They love the characters it's attached to and the moments they use it in where it seemed cool. But they don't hate it. Hate is too strong a word for what people feel about it. It just doesn't compare to the build up or philosophies behind the others.

The anime doesn’t help SSB at all. Functionality wise we learn about SSB the most outside of UI and UE. We learn about its drawbacks , offers Perfect ki control to choose how much power they use and Lets the user fight at 100% no ki drain. Also just because they have God ki doesn’t mean they can’t lose.

I don't mean to disrespect toriyama here, but i think the whole concept of god ki and these forms could have been handled alot better. Ssg was introduced as a form that granted better speed, ki density, rejuvenation, and the chance ability to absorb ki attacks when weakened. From there, and with the training that goku and vegeta did to obtain ssb, you would think that the application of god ki to any of their previous forms would be the next logical step. Combining god ki with ssj2 and ssj3 should have been the next logical leaps if they considered using god ki as a technique instead of a form. Vegeta even capitalized on this idea against toppo with his ssb evolution form, which feels like his grade 2 ssj form with the application of god ki. Even the issues with ultra instinct and ego are addressed in the manga by Whis when he tells goku that he needs to think of Ui as a technique more than a form. This would have led them to the concept of stacking these forms together to reach even greater powers. You could imagine goku, stacking god ki on top of ssj3 the first time he fought jiren, and pushing him much farther than he did in their first encounter.

I think a way they could make Super Saiyan God and Super Saiyan Blue relevant again would be by Goku and Vegeta stacking their Ultra Instinct forms and Ultra Ego forms on top of their Super Saiyan Blue forms while their offsprings and/or the Universe 6 Saiyans could use Super Saiyan God as their MAIN form.

it didn't bring anything aesthetic to the table. a change of color in hair and aura is so half ass. it made sense ssj1 to ssj2 because things were simple back then and any increase in power blew our tits ofd. the addition of the hair looking slightly spikier plus the electric factor satisfied us. the change of ssj3 was godlike and the aesthetic of ssj4 is still hailed as the greatest form aesthetically by most fans. ssj god and blue are just meh... I will say blue + kaioken was pretty sick though. I wish they would just stop dicking around and make ssj4 canon and expand on the primal ape aesthetic. idk why tf they haven't gone deeper into the ape concept it's the most slept on idea in the entire series by far

The scaling in super is inconsistent, bonkers, nonsense and these multipliers are why. Some napkin math: God ki Goku vs Beerus, when their fists collided it threatened to destroy the universe, since neither was pushed back we can assume Beerus was matching Goku's power so Goku in god form was able to put half the required power with just his fist to destroy the universe. Now going with how it's said in both this video and the anime SSB add the 50x multiplier to the god form, since the god form was half the power required to destroy everything with a punch that means without any further power increase (which he gets from training) he can destroy the universe 25X over with a punch. Now to make things worse Freiza was able to match/beat blue in his gold form meaning that he could at least destroy the universe 25X over with a punch. How did the clash between the two not destroy at least the earth especially since Freiza does exactly that later? showing that he wouldn't hold back his power enough to not destroy it.

For me personally, I dont like super saiyan blue's design. We went from super saiyan 4, which was an awesome design that took saiyans back to their roots and took creative risks to a bunch of recolours.

I love the form cause I now have a good understanding of it. But the criticisms you usually see it get are legitimate I feel. I often asked myself what the form even did or how powerful it was cause the god forms and god ki were not explained enough and for years I struggled to figure out how strong SSB was to SSG. I also feel SSG got retconned. I remember reading some interview that the intention was for the form to have a bleeding effect and allow the user of the form to retain god ki in base form. Making their base as strong as SSG. But in ToP it’s still a form. God ki and the forms need more explanations but the plot has more or less moved pasts them now.

Blue Evo is my favorite form for vegeta. Fits him so well. I prefer it over UE. But for Goku it would of been more satisfying to see him go Ss3 after obtaining SSG. While Blue evo is more like Vegetas mastered SS2 after SSG. They could've went their own path even before the ultra forms.

Usually civilizations become MORE peaceful and civilized overtime, but perhaps the influence of Frieza and Vegeta's royal ancestors caused the saiyans to become more barbaric over time. It would help explain why U6 saiyans dont seem to be as violent.

Vegeta probably didn't require the ritual because he'd been exposed to the god ki and had absorbed it into himself. It is a different type of energy entirely compared to Ki, it's not a multiplier.

It was rushed. SSG should've been the new pinnacle of power for Goku n Vegeta all the way up until the Goku Black arc. (Defeating both Golden Frieza and Hit with just SSG). That would've solidified the power that SSG has over SSJ3 which was the previous strongest form as demonstrated by the Beerus fight. Goku Black should've been the first to unlock it as SS Rosè by doing it in reverse since he started with God Ki and learned how to tap into Saiyan power to stack it with rage from being weaker than their combined strength as just SSG. That demonstration would lead Goku n Vegeta to learning they can also stack SSJ on SSG and only THEN unlock SSB to defeat Goku Black and then fuse into Vegito SSB to defeated merged Zamasu. That would've make SSB absolutely epic to see it first in that arc and then used by Vegito soon after unlocking it. 🔥🔥🔥

I personally dont care for SS Blue, mainly due to its quick arrival and misuse throughout Super (at least for what I've seen). It had very few badass moments in a sea of bad moments that made the form look like a joke.

The power scaling is just dumb. A character with quadrillion anything scaling is incomprehensibly different in different forms, and the authors definitely couldn't comprehend it. With numbers that vary that widely, there should almost never be a chance that two characters are even within a multiple of two of each other unless they're powering down deliberately.

I don’t hate Super Saiyan Blue at all. I find to be underrated. I'm not someone who only likes the form because of the design and nothing else. I do find the design to be rather lazy, but I liked it at least. But I like this form a lot more than Super Saiyan 4 in terms of execution and writing. Both things I care about more than the design. This is why I think Super Saiyan 4 is far worse than Super Saiyan Blue.

Super Saiyan Blue Evolution is basically the god version of Super Saiyan Second Grade (Super Vegeta from the Cell Arc). And yes, since Super Saiyan Rose 2 and Super Saiyan Rose 3 exist, the next levels of Super Saiyan Blue should be possible.

I don’t hate the form but I found it to be lacking not helped by the fact that on paper it’s a power that very few should be able to match but time and time again Goku and Vegeta both get dragged all across the floor in both the standard and advanced levels of SSB riddle me this if Kaioken does in fact multiply the power of the user how in the absolute hell can Jiren despite how powerful he is push back a spirit bomb with seemingly no exertion of effort being pushed by a SSBKx20 and how does Kelfa overpower it which despite being a super saiyan fusion is still a fusion with freshly minted super saiyans without god ki and beyond that how does an unmastered Ultra Instinct which is a technique not transformation completely out scales and outperforms the SSBKx20 if it really SSBK with 20 times Goku’s strength it just doesn’t make sense even by the standards set by the series the only character that brought any prestige to the form were unironically Vegito and Gogeta

I personally hate all of the forms from DBS. Not just its pallet swapped like Super Saiyan God, because they didn't do jack. SSB only killed a recycled-retconned Frieza which doesn't count. 50x multiplier is not real and im tired of people using it. Goku was injured on namek but his power jumped up around 50x from an enraged transformation while injured. Trunks and vegeta have forms that are imperfect routes to ss2. Goku and gohan mastered ss1 and were able to be relevant to a holding back cell. It literally iss illogical to have a mastered ssj be the same power as an unmastered version when its ahead of adcended and ultra ssj in the grade tree.
