It's maybe a bit extreme, but do you see any opportunity of rerouting the air intake to the front instead of the side?

thank you so much for your videos! I just bought a nightster special and I'd like to do some upgrades as well. There just don't seem to be hardly any nightsters on the road. at least not in the Houston area. the bike is very capable and performs amazing, but it's definitely not my road glide :)

Great video! As a Nightster owner, I always like to see how people upgrade their Nightster. I do all of my maintenance except for the spark plugs as Harley Davidson tells me that it is a 2.25 hour service job. I did see that a Screaming Eagle spark plug is available for this bike. I am hoping that an iridium plug will soon be available for the Nightster. Can you do a video on how to replace the spark plug? What is the part number for the air filter? Thank you
@aztriumphster Жыл бұрын
When I finally get around to doing the spark plugs, I will definitely do a video on it. The air filter part number is K&N RU-0600

New to motorcycles here, are you saying any 7/8 grip will work or should? I’d hate to buy grips and they not fit with the way this setup is. I had an 883 before but never modded it knowing I’d upgrade and it didn’t have sleeves like this. Also, I don’t know about you but I am annoyed if needing a key to fill up so if you find a solution to replacing the key lock with possibly a push button, PLEASE do share
@aztriumphster2 жыл бұрын
Hello, welcome to the motorcycling family. The inside diameter of the factory controls and outside diameter of the controls section of the factory bars is 7/8". On your 883, the left side grip would have most likely mounted directly to the bar, which could be done on this bike or replace the factory grip over the plastic sleeve. I have yet to find out if the factory grips can be cut off the plastic sleeves. I plan to post a followup video about the bar install. Although I haven't done it myself, I believe replacing the key turn with a push button would work since turning the key actuated the latch by applying pressure, the same as applying pressure to the button would

Numbers wise I'm not certain but it definitely feels very restricted from the factory. Just a full exhaust, higher flowing air cleaner and a good tune and im sure this thing will scream. My buddies factory sportster s with the 1250 ran circles around my stage 1 fat bob 114.

Rick, welcome to the motorcycling family. I actually went with powder coat on this bike and on my fat bob. It's much cheaper than paint. Shoot me an email at dealersupport@dean-speed.com and we can work on a quote for you. The price will vary based on what color and finish u pick.
