There are so many out there who are hard to follow or lack the ability to explain more of the nuance. Thinking of joining his online course to finally get the depth i have been lacking in my playing ability.

Some melodic minor stuff has grown on me especially the mix flat 6 scale used in some scifi sounding stuff and some recent fusion rock/metal and some other stuff plus the lydain b7 scale. It's amasing how far some people come from liking what they like as a kid and it's good for my brain that I like more music and practice jazz stuff.

Thank you so much Mr. Tomo. Don't forget to be kind to yourself Sir. You always give so much to us, and just always know in your spirit that you should be happy. But of course once again your lessons never fall upon deaf ears that are willing to hear and learn. You bring the scales to life and show their importance, I didn't even know what my scale chart meant , or even honestly knew how to practice them. They were just a bunch of dots, but I'm learning Mr. Tomo and I hear them now starting to come alive for me. Thank you so much. Stay blessed Sir. And remember to keep smiling and know you Are changing lives everywhere, we are all so thankful And the line to shake your hand would be miles and miles long. Danny in Texas.

When I grow up, I want to play guitar just like Tomo!! But seriously........these lessons are so important and whereas we all groan at the thought of memorizing scales and their context, they are so vital plus Tomo here makes these (almost) fun to learn! So worth it once we get these down and understand their application so as always.....thanks again to TomoFujitaMusic!! Jim C.

You’re a chord specialist Sir. I could watch you bounce around exotic chord shapes all day it is so bad ass. Rhythm is soooo important to me now because of you. I shred pretty good I admit but your Guitar Wisdom Course is humbling my ass. Shred is nice but can your rhythm provide the atmosphere of a good time? Can other musicians rely on me to be a great musician? Rhythm is where it is at. I’m so impressed with you.

it's easier than you think...Keys are just PITCH lets just start from the A chord.....D chord....and E chord ( 1, 4, 5) b3, b6, b7 are the SECOND arpeggio of the 1, 4, 5 chords. Lets PUSH UP from A NATURAL min UP towards A MAJOR. In a nutshell..you're just going to alter the 1, 4, 5 chords back and forth between MAJOR and min...chords Just make simple BARR chords....starting at the 5th fret. b3, b6, b7..........A min.......D min........E min natural min b3, b6 A min D min E7 harmonic min b3 A min D7 E7 melodic min b6 A MAJ D min E7 harmonic MAJOR you can reverse the process..push down from C MAJOR towards C min One of the most important thing..is to play V in i....or V in I E7 into A min...or A MAJOR AND G7 into C MAJOR or C min This is very important...MEMORIZE IT. 2, 4, b6, 7 are ALL POSSIBLE full diminished. B............D..........F..........G# Just make a simple min chord ( shuffle your finger a little) place your MIDDLE finger on the TRITON. ..................RING finger on the b3 ( on B string) ommit the high E...( for the moment) I personally....shuffle index..to play tritone again on the high E after I play the root...but im arpeggiating it. (I dont always do it) Anyways...just play.. B dim......D dim......F dim......G# dim.....( ROOT on A string) YOU CAN also STACK a maj3 BELOW any diminished chord to obtain a dominant G7............Bb...........Db...........E7 ..........D dim/Bb......F dim/Db.... ................Bb7..........Db..........E7 Jazzy heads call the Db....chord tritone sub of G7 I guess.......................Bb....chord is tritone sub of E7..too Some people call the Bb of A min...N6 chord. .....................................Db of C MAJ N6 chord. I just they could be....Bb is N6 of A MAJOR or min ....................................Db is N6 of C MAJOR or min 2, 4, b6, 7 dim chords OVERLAP A harmonic MAJOR and/or A harmonic min C harmonic min.......and/or C harmonic MAJOR Eb harmonic MAJ and or Eb harmonic min.......= Gb Harmonic min .Gb harmonic MAJ and or...F# harmonic min......= A Harmonic MAJOR If you use full dim H/W you can stack MAJOR, min..dominant or dim chords...every b3 intervals. Lets stack those badboys over the A ........C..........Eb.........Gb KEEP it simple...and just do all minor chords..at first. A min Gb min.......C min Eb min E7 into A min you can mix it up ( just pretend you played to C minor as a guide) A min C min F min E7 into A min Bb7 into Eb maj7 E7 into A min Then....vamping the full dim over the A...as a guide A min......C dim......Eb dim....Gb7 into B min E7 into A min... It's UNLIMITED possiblities. I could had easily played C Maj7 F min Bb dim Db dim D min G7 into C min Eb maj7 Ab min Gb min E7 in A min...again... Just get used to altering the 1, 4, 5 chord I could list other minor scales like this aeo maj7 dor maj7 phry maj7 ( A harmonic min b2 =Bb lyd #6.) mix maj7 loc maj7 or like this from same root b3, b6, b7 b3, b6 b3 b6 b2, b3 b2, b3. b6 b3, b5 b3, b5, b6 b3, #4, b3, #4, b6 The b3, #4. ...you call it melodic min #4 or lyd b3 A lyd b3......B mix b2 into E harmonic MAJOR E mix b6 to mix b6, maj7 ..that's all. or A min....B7 into E....WHATEVER. A min.......B7 into E maj7...F7.........G7 into C min ( F7 is n6 of E whatever ...no?) C min Eb maj7 Ab min Db dim E7 into A min...
