That bike is designed to do the oil change on the kick stand which is why you have and extra .5qt. And add oil to the filter ring.

When you start a Victory always crack the throttle a little to avoid the chance of destroying the starter clutch if the motor kicks back.

i know this is an older video but i was wondering if you have ever had a victory hammer 8-ball where the bike can shift fine and throttle up in neutral but the moment you shift gears and try to go and throttle up it feel like you're in the wrong gear and the bike has trouble moving even struggling to get up to 10mp. i cant find anyone to work on the bike near me and i found this video hoping you could point me in a direction to at least to a part that might need fixing.

So what happens if you don’t warm the oil before draining? Also, do you check the oil level when the bike is on its stand or do you set it up right and then check the oil level?
@spacecoastz40268 ай бұрын
I always change the oil when the engine is hot, because hot oil will more fully drain. Correct procedure for this bike is for it to be upright to check oil level.

I've never had a Victory bike. I don't really know whether it's a quality bike long term. But I've always like their designs from an aesthetic point of view. I feel like they should've kept the Victory name instead of hanging onto the Indian name for the sake of heritage. But what do I know. I'm sure the design aspects have bled over into the Indian line. They certainly have some sharp looking bikes and I like the overall direction they are heading. It will be curious to see if the cancel culture ruins that brand too in the name of faux racism.

You could undo the oil filter by hand? This is no way to show how to change oil and oil filter... Both the drain plug and filter for any bike has an actual torque setting. Also the “guess work” for the amount of oil is really poor! All manuals tell you how much and what kind of oil. These are usually in three different amounts. Completely dry (brand new amount), amount of oil required if you are just draining and not replacing filter and an amount for a drain and filter replacement! It ain’t rocket science, nor does it require guess work when the information is at hand or easily accessible on the web! OMG! Is possibly the best way to sum up this video... 👎😶
@340rps2 жыл бұрын
No torque setting for the filter. There is a torque setting for every bolt and nut on the bike. better use discretion when tightening the oil plug. The drain plugs are very prone to stripping the threads on the motor. Thought is being upside down people are going the wrong way and stripping the threads.
