Just read his statement. It's a little preachy and virtue signal-y but the core of his message is admirable and it's bold of someone to so strongly own their past mistakes like that -- past mistakes that most people wouldn't dream of admitting. He's only human but he's someone to look at for acknowledging that yes, we all need to address the faults in ourselves.

Cancer will soon become epidemic. Early detection can help but right now so many cancers are detected late. The petrochemical industry including The American Chemical Council should give all of their profits to find easy early diagnosis cancer tests.

With Supersize Me all he really did was show what everyone should have already known, that fast-food like McD's should be eaten in extreme moderation or you risk compounding health issues. His more valuable contribution, at least I believe, is this chicken thing. Exposing the myth of "free range" that goes on is pretty huge. Most people think the extra money they're paying for it is wise and healthier spending when, as Spurlock shows, is clearly not usually the case.

@@TJ-bu9zk Smothered the message is a bit idiotic to say. A moral is a moral and the message of big chicken still stands firm regardless what a man does afterwards. You're clearly acting butt-hurt over a problem that isn't your own. I'm so tired of hypocrites having problems with others' self-righteousness. @@TJ-bu9zk I AGREE (reminds me of ThatVeganTeacher's stupidity and potential racism overwhelming anyone's immediate interests in the idea of veganism) yet it's rather pessimistic to say Sperlock's personal issues overshadow the problems we're trying to shed light on with this documentary, people still focused on the documentary. Reviews prove that almost nobody cared about the man's personal life so long as the unheard-of sequel to the original hit documentary is out, is free, and feels just as believable as the last. And I feel it's melodramatic to say it's a failure on the movie's end too, sure it probably won't produce a ton of revenue, sure it probably won't make it to theaters, sure the farmers lost their livelihoods as they knew it; but think about it, who's fault really is that? The guy who committed the crime or the ones who dropped charges and punishments. There are ceo's decided who gets cut off from associating with this guy Sperlock, and articles written to push the narrative that the film's a failure, but DO YOU SEE HOW MANY views it has already here on youtube!? Oh, you don't? That's because corporate men at the top don't want you to know it's a big deal. They don't want streaming services to adopt the film from this guy after seeing how much attention it's getting. Give it some time, I believe eventually folks will come around to vouch on truth's behalf... I'm sorry for calling you butt-hurt cause I read your other comments around and I really do understand what you're saying here, just truth is it's probably still a documentary that'll be shown in public school classrooms like the last one was in my class nearly a decade ago. The truth will get out there regardless man, his timing was hella poor for that but no METOO movement's gonna stop the peoples' general health movement. Yeah but it seems kind of pointless. Everyone knows fast food is unhealthy and the industry lies to us. And if we didn't and learned something from watching his documentary, how many of us are going to turn to vegetarians and for how long? Most of us will be feel bad for a day or two then go back to McDonalds. Most of us don't have that level of self-respect anyway.

His 2nd documentary was entertaining, at least, but Spurlock's attempted lesson is sanctimonious, hypocritical, and off-target.

christoffer pedersen wow I bet your parents are so proud of you. What is it like to grow up with two moms? Who the hell wants to be Vegan? If vegan was the way you wouldn’t need vitamin supplements to live healthy with that diet... I just miss the old days of the slaughterhouse. If meats murder then murder tastes good.. I would proudly wear a leather coat and eat a steak and maybe not even finish that steak and throw it in the trash. Oh and Vegans don’t like to harm living things WELL THE VEGGIES YOU EAT HAD A LIFE BEFORE YOU PICKED IT TO EAT AND THEIR IS LIVING THINGS IN EACH AND EVERY PIECE OF FOOD YOU TAKE IN. And cells are alive so if you don’t wanna kill or harm anything to eat you might as well just ignore life. Because when ya break things down to the smallest part of its being EVERYTHING IS ALIVE.
