@@viviendaquino8364 Right. So he was not drinking. The notion that he was a raging alcoholic the entire time makes no sense. Because he wouldn't have had poor liver function. He never actually confessed to drinking every day, he said something along the lines of 'drinking consistently' - which could mean anything. Maybe he drank once a week. Maybe he drank twice a week. Maybe he binge drank. Maybe he was using drugs. Maybe those drugs had liver function impact. Maybe they didn't. It's impossible to know.

I’m 3 years older than Morgan and I was absolutely shocked by his passing. I’m addicted to sugar. I’ve never smoked and I gave up alcohol years ago. In his memory I’m going to pass on soft drinks and fast food this day forward. I actually don’t eat a lot of fast food but I’ll binge on soft drinks occasionally and that’s not acceptable. RIP to Morgan and I hope schools help keep his memory alive forever by continuing to show this innovative film in classes as part of their curriculum.

Great on you! It's always good to take care of your body, and if not for you, do it for your children. Unfortunantely at your age, it's likely you've already done damage if you are drinking soft drinks often. So, you may need to slowly decline your usage rather than immediately stop, or else you could have withdrawal. Your pancrease might be used to releasing more incilen to make up for the excess sugar your diet consumes. Maybe stop with the soft drinks, but don't necessarily pass on anything with high sugar just yet. Let it lower over the course of a month or two. Always excercise! Talking to a doctor though would be ideal, I'm of course just a random person on the internet, what do I know.

@@MikeJackson690 sure, other than potential liver failure, he was in decent health. the point is, as he (unrealistically) binged on fast food 3 times per day, he appeared to be getting sicker and sicker, and he wanted the viewer to equate that with eating junk food. but others have pointed out that him being sick looked like alcohol withdrawal, so he must have stopped drinking not long before he started filming. after the doc came out, apparently others tried to replicate his experiment and nobody experienced his symptoms. the fact that he concealed his alcoholism makes this entire documentary worthless imo. all of his health issues experienced during filming seem to be due to alcohol, not mcd.

I still remember my middle school days here in Italy, always thinking: "How lucky for americans to go to McD's whenever they want!" Then the teacher showed us this movie and I was as shocked as ever, and I couldn't help but falling in love with this man's work Then when "Holy Chicken" was out, I was even more shocked, but I still adored this guy. And now that he's dead, I have nothing to say but: "Thanks, Morgan, for your irony, documentary skills and for changing my view about fast foods" R.I.P 😭😭😭🥺🥺🥺💪💪💪and respects from Italy🇮🇹

I was introduced to this documentary when I was in 6th grade in 2012. My teacher even said at the time that school nutrition will continue to be bad. He even said they were feeding us poison. I'm 24 years old now, and it's sad to see that nothing much as changed. Even when I worked fast food, I used to see the same people come to eat everyday three meals a day.

I can't believe the creator of this documentary has passed away, especially at that age. It's way too soon. I remember watching this documentary in middle school, and I didn't want McDonald’s for months afterward. Now I only buy McDonald’s if I have serious cravings after weeks/months or if I have a hangover, since I don't drink much anymore. This is a truly unique and eye-opening documentary that will hopefully get some renewed attention after his death, so people can see that we don’t need to order 'large' meals or eat fast food every day, even though we've gotten wiser since this documentary came out years ago. And a little message to the person who chose to upload the whole documentary here on KZbin: thank you so much for that, especially with English subtitles, as there are many of us in Europe who really appreciate these kinds of things.

Look at that prices dude. 3,49 $ for a meal, less than 5$ bucks for a whole menu. If you go to a McDonalds or Burger King today, you need to sell your liver or ask for a loan to get your food. Crazy times man. Miss the old days

18:00 In the 2010s and 2020s, PlayPlaces have appeared less frequently in new and renovated restaurants, reportedly due to factors such as health and safety concerns, decreased usage, families eating out less, a shift in marketing from kids and families to young adults, and McDonald's wanting to present a more "sleek and modern" image of the chain. Funny to look back on this now
