Super Smash Bros. Brawl Lucas Voice Clips

All of Lucas' voice clips from Super Smash Bros. Brawl, provided by Lani Minella and reused in both versions of Smash 4. Lucas was originally meant to replace Ness in Melee, but due to Mother 3 being delayed in Japan, his Smash debut was put on hold until this game. Lucas is also one of several characters in the series that Minella voices, along with Pit (in Brawl only), Lyn, Larry, Lemmy, Wendy, and Morton.

Ness: Game released in America His voice: A Japanese person with false American accent Lucas: Game released only in Japan His voice: An American person with correct American accent Kinda weird, right?

well the reason ness's voice sounds like that is because ness had never had a voice prior so they just had the kirby voice actor do lines

@@NintendoGirl49 no he did not, lucas could not speak in his game as it was a gameboy advance game, but he was made later on when smash brothers had more of a following and more available voice actors

I like it how you can understand Lucas, lookin at Ness Yes I know the voice actor of Ness doesn't speak English

I like how Lucas is from a fully Japanese game, (mother 3) yet you can still understand him. and then there's Ness over here, you sounds more Japanese then Lucas, Mother 2 (earthbound) is localized in US. In a nutshell... Lucas is actually Japanese but you can still understand him more than a English/Japanese boy.

*Anyone else notice how Lucas was mentally disturbed in Brawl (no smile!, and the game was made right after MOTHER 3), but in Smash 4 and Ultimate he isn't as negative about the whole thing, don't ya know...?* *(I'll go back into hiding, now)*

My theory is that lucas was no smilling in brawl to reference his initial personality in mother 3 and for plot in subspace, he started as a crybaby and coward kid, he slowly grew stronger and more confident later in ssb4/ultimate, now he smiles to reference his personality change just like in mother 3. Even he protected and saved ness in his ssb4 trailer, it was a role reversal, ness protected him in brawl and now is his turn to protect him.

I like how Lucas sounds like that he is older than Ness, despite being a kid that always shows fear, and the fact that I thinked that the duo were brothers until I discovered the origins of them...
