Kirby's color variations are as follows: 1st color variation (Pink): Based on his appearance in recent Kirby games. 2nd color variation (Yellow): Shigeru Miyamoto wanted to make Kirby yellow, but Masahiro Sakurai decided to make him pink. Nintendo ruled in Sakurai's favor. The yellow Kirby appeared as Keeby in Kirby's Dream Course. Yellow Kirby also resembles Beam Kirby in Kirby Super Star. 3rd color variation (Blue): Based on Ice Kirby in Kirby Super Star. 4th color variation (Red): Based on Fire Kirby in Kirby Super Star. 5th color variation (Green): Based on Plasma Kirby in Kirby Super Star. 6th color variation (Greyscale): Based on Kirby's monochromatic appearance in the original Kirby's Dreamland. 7th color variation (Orange): Resembles the orange spray paint from Kirby & The Amazing Mirror and Kirby: Squeak Squad. 8th color variation (Navy): Based on Meta Knight without his armor and mask. The model is darker and more vivid on the Wii U version than on the 3DS version.
